Central Coast Mariners v Wellington Phoenix
🏟
Tuesday 5th April – 10:05AM KO
Central Coast saw their unbeaten run in the A-League continue at the weekend, picking up a 2-2 draw with Western United. Wellington were on the receiving end of a 6-0 drubbing by league leaders, Melbourne City.
Central Coast now sit four points behind their opponents this week, with both sides having one eye on final series qualification. The Mariners have nine goals in their last three games with Jason Cummings and Marco Urena having huge impacts, scoring three goals each in that period. Central Coast have now gone six games unbeaten but remain outside the top six.
Wellington Phoenix had the best home record in the league prior to their match with Melbourne City at the weekend but they fell apart in the second half, eventually losing 6-0. That was Wellington’s third loss in their last five games, and their poor away form is starting to have an impact on their league position, with the club clinging onto sixth place.
There have been plenty of goals in games featuring these two sides in recent weeks, with Central Coast games averaging three goals per fixture over the last six games and Wellington matches seeing four goals per game. That makes the over 2.5 goal market look very appealing for this fixture.

Melbourne City v Sydney FC
🏟
Wednesday 6th April – 10:05AM KO
Melbourne City picked up a huge win at the weekend, beating Wellington Phoenix 6-0 and increasing their lead at the top of the league to five points. Sydney FC were able to come out on top in the Sydney derby, beating Western Sydney Wanderers 3-2 on Saturday.
Melbourne City have been in fantastic form, going 10 games unbeaten and scoring 25 times during that period. They are leading the way in the league once again and will be keen to add another win to their record and increase their stranglehold over Western United in second place.
Sydney FC picked up just their third win in 10 games with their derby day victory over the Wanderers. The side have struggled at points this season but that win has lifted them to fourth place and increased the chances of them playing final series football at the end of the season. Sydney have only managed to accumulate 12 points from their last 10 games.
It’s hard to look past Melbourne City in any match this season but with Sydney struggling for consistency and Melbourne picking up 24 points from a possible 30, backing City at evens looks like it is tremendous value.

Perth Glory v Melbourne Victory
🏟
Wednesday 6th April – 12:05PM KO
Perth Glory saw their season go from bad to worse following their 4-2 defeat against Macarthur at the weekend whilst Melbourne Victory picked up a vital three points in a 1-0 win over Adelaide United.
Perth Glory have now failed to win in 10 games, winning just three points in that period, an awful run that sees them cut adrift at the foot of the A-League table. The side have struggled in the final third, scoring well under a goal a game with Daniel Sturridge having no impact at the club, due to injury. They haven’t conceded a huge amount, the second lowest total in the league, but their inability to find the net has cost them dearly this season.
Melbourne Victory finally saw their run of 1-1 draws end at four with the side picking up a 1-0 win over Adelaide. Victory have struggled to put games to bed this season, drawing as many games as they have won, but they will hope their win at the weekend will act as a catalyst for picking up more victories as the season draws to an end.
It’s hard to see Perth taking anything from this game with the side looking devoid of confidence and still being without a head coach following Richard Garcia’s dismissal. Melbourne Victory will be buoyed by their win at the weekend and look good value to pick up a slender win.
