Hammarby v Hacken
🏟
Sunday 26th June– 2:00PM KO
The Tele2 Arena in Stockholm is the venue for the big game of the weekend in the Swedish Allsvenskan as Hacken travel to Hammarby.
After a lengthy absence for the Nations League fixtures, it is time for the Swedish top flight to return on Sunday afternoon. This is the pick of the ties as it features third hosting the league leaders.
Hammarby started the season on fire taking 15 points from their first five games. Their form has stuttered since then taking just five points from their next five. They’ve also suffered a major blow as top goalscorer Williot Swedberg has completed a move to Spanish side Celta Vigo.
Their opponents Hacken will be full of confidence as going into the international break they had won five straight and were unbeaten in seven. This run of 17 points from a possible 21 moved them top of the Allsvenskan table. Key to their success has been goals with a team-high 22 while Alexander Jermejeff has an impressive ten in ten.
That all being said the actual recommendation is for the home side to come out on top here at 10/11 with Betfair Sportsbook. Their form at the Tele2 Arena is incredible with 12 victories from their last 14 Allsvenskan games here. Since July 2020 they have suffered just two home league defeats.
Hacken are unbeaten on the road this campaign which includes a victory at Malmo but this could be their toughest test yet. They lost 4-0 here in the Swedish Cup back in March so know the challenge facing them. The historical trends are against the visitors with no victory in their last five matches at Hammarby.
The road team are a strong side but at some point their unbeaten run will come to an end and against a strong Hammarby home team this could be the place to take them on. Back the home victory at 10/11.

Kalmar v IFK Varnamo
🏟
Monday 27th June – 6:00PM KO
The Guldfageln Arena in Kalmar is the location for this Monday evening fixture as Kalmar play host to IFK Varnamo.
This encounter pitches the side in sixth place at home to the team in 12th spot. These sides are separated by just four points but the home side are aiming for Europe while the visitors are aiming to just survive.
Kalmar went into the international break in good form with three victories, one draw and just one defeat from their last five. At home, this form is even better with back-to-back victories and three from their last four. A key to this success has been a strong defence with only two sides (Hammarby and Djurgarden) having a better defensive record than the nine that they have shipped.
Varnamo will also be disappointed that the international break came as they are on a three-game unbeaten run picking up seven points from a possible nine. On the road, they have struggled, picking up just four points from five played. Their main man is Marcus Antonsson and the former Leeds player is firing with six goals in his last five.
A home victory looks the play here given the visitors have lost three of five on the road and their only success came at bottom of the table Helsingborg. They did pick up a point at Mjallby but that came against the expected goals data.
The head-to-head record also heavily favours Kalmar who have won three and drawn two of their five previous meetings with Varnamo. Their most recent battle came in a March friendly at this ground that the home team won 3-0.
It is a pleasant surprise then to see Kalmar available to back here for all three points at 5/6 with Betfair Sportsbook and this is the recommended bet.

Malmo v Helsingborg
🏟
Monday 27th June – 6:00PM KO
The Skåne derby takes place on Monday evening (6:00pm) as the Eleda Stadion in Malmo plays host to travelling Helsingborg.
Malmo have not had the start to the season they would have hoped for as defending champions sitting with just 18 points from their opening 11 games. They have lost three of their last four including a 2-1 home loss to Hacken. Before the international break, they defeated Degefors 2-0 and won the Swedish Cup. The squad is much the same as the one that won the league title so they will hope the break and cup success marks a turning point in their campaign.
Helsingborg have had it tough since securing promotion back to the top tier of Swedish football as they sit bottom of the table. It is just five points from their opening 11 games and they have lost four straight games. Their road form has been awful with just one point gained from their five matches.
Backing both teams to score at 6/5 with Betfair Sportsbook looks the best way to play this fixture. Helsingborg have found the back of the net at least once in four of their five on the road this season which includes visits to top four teams in Hammarby and Djurgarden. In just two of their last five have Malmo kept their opponents scoreless so this could be an open affair.
The head-to-head record also supports this as five of the last seven Skåne derbies at the Eleda Stadion have seen both teams find the back of the net so Helsingborg will not be afraid to try open up the hosts,
The visitors carry a goal threat but are also leaky at the back and should be able to net but might find the gulf in class too much. Backing both teams to score is the value while those looking for extra value should consider a home victory and BTTS.
