Andy's Saturday Accumulator @ 4.33

Hull continue to offer consistent returns for BTTS backers whenever they take to the pitch in the Championship. Their very impressive 3-1 win at Millwall last week meant that 16 of their 22 (73%) matches in all competitions have seen both teams score. There is no doubt that the Tigers have to be buzzing with confidence now after a result like that, which is good considering their mauling by Middlesbrough at home the previous weekend.

Who knows which Hull will emerge into the MKM Stadium here, but they will have to be wary of West Brom, who managed a great win last weekend over Sheffield United. The Baggies conjured up 2.7xG in that match, their seventh consecutive match of creating more than 1xG, which demonstrates to me that they certainly have the ability and consistency to expect to score here. Indeed, their clean sheet was fairly fortunate last time out and stopped a fun sequence of six BTTS matches in a row. 

So given Hull's entertaining and open style and West Brom'a consistency of chance creation, I can see goals at both ends here.

While Dunfermline have blown hot and cold this season, they are more than capable of landing a blow on Ayr United’s defence at East End Park on Saturday afternoon.

Neil Lennon’s side have only failed to score in 1 of their last 9 Scottish Championship matches, an impressive sequence that stretches back to mid-October. Across that nine-game sample, the Pars hit 2 goals when hosting league leaders St Johnstone, while they also claimed a 1–0 away win at Ayr a little over one month ago.

It was a rollercoaster of a game for Ayr last weekend, as they raced into a two-goal lead against St Johnstone before a second-half collapse condemned them to a 4–2 defeat. That bruising setback means Scott Brown’s side have won just 1 of their last eight Scottish Championship matches. Moreover, the Honest Men have conceded multiple goals in 2 of their last four league games away from home.

St Johnstone emerged from their recent sticky spell by staging a stunning second-half comeback to defeat Ayr United 4-2 last Friday night. That triumph, combined with Partick Thistle’s loss at Arbroath later in the weekend, has seen the Saints move three points clear at the summit.

With confidence restored, I think Simo Valakari’s side can follow up on last week’s success by taking care of Morton at McDiarmid Park on Saturday.

The Ton have slid down to 7th place and will be starting to look over their shoulder after losing 1–0 at home to Airdrie last weekend. The Cappielow club have also come away empty-handed from recent away games at both Dunfermline and Ayr, which doesn’t augur well ahead of Saturday’s visit to Perth.

The fact that St Johnstone romped to a 4-0 win over Morton in Greenock at the tail end of October further strengthens the case for a home success here.

I think Clyde can continue their upward curve by overcoming Stirling Albion on Saturday afternoon. The Bully Wee will come into this clash brimming with confidence after brilliantly dismantling Edinburgh City 4–1 away from home last weekend. Moreover, that victory extended Clyde’s unbeaten run to 13 matches in Scottish League Two, an impressive sequence that has catapulted them into title contention.

With Darren Young’s hosts now just two points off the summit, a home game with Stirling Albion represents an ideal opportunity to put another three points on the board. 

The Binos are languishing in 9th position in the table and have not tasted victory in the fourth tier since September. Not only that, Stirling have lost each of their last two Scottish League Two fixtures away from their Forthbank home.

With confidence in the Stirling camp likely to be low, high-flying Clyde look well placed to capitalise and take top honours on Saturday afternoon.

Super Boost: Cucurella 1+ Foul Committed @ 2.00

This Cucurella Boost is definitely one I can get behind.

No Chelsea player has committed more fouls in the Premier League this season than Cucurella, who has fouled 23 times in 16 games (1.53 per 90).

The left-back is known for his tenacity and has committed at least one foul in his last four Premier League appearances.

I expect this trend to continue in what should be a tricky match for Chelsea against a Newcastle side who are typically very tough to beat at St James’ Park, losing just once at home in the league this term.

Although Jacob Murphy on Newcastle’s right flank is not the most prolific winner of fouls (0.60 per 90 this season), Cucurella is a player who gets involved all over the park for Chelsea.

The Spaniard will likely come into close contact with Newcastle right-back Tino Livramento and right-sided central midfielder Bruno Guimaraes, who average 2.50 and 1.02 fouls won per 90 respectively this season.

Overall, considering Cucurella has committed a foul in 12 of his 15 Premier League starts this season, this is a Boost I feel confident in.
