Arsenal v Burnley Match Preview
Arsenal have emerged from the sticky patch they encountered last month by winning their subsequent 3 Premier League matches to put themselves in pole position for the title. Following back-to-back home victories over Newcastle and Fulham, the Gunners ground out a 1-0 win away at West Ham last weekend. Notably, Mikel Arteta's men have kept a clean sheet in each of their last 5 top-flight victories.
While Manchester City moved to within 2 points of Arsenal with their midweek victory over Crystal Palace, the Gunners could move 5 clear at the summit ahead of City’s trip to Bournemouth on Tuesday night.
Burnley have looked destined for an immediate return to the Championship for much of the campaign, with their relegation confirmed following a 1-0 home defeat to Manchester City last month. The Clarets did, however, give their supporters something to cheer about last weekend by snapping a 5-match losing run with a spirited 2-2 draw against Aston Villa.
Nevertheless, it is just 1 top-flight win from their last 27 matches for the Turf Moor side, with that solitary victory coming against Crystal Palace back in early February.

When it comes to Arsenal v Burnley free bets, these bets can be combined into a qualifying bet that hits the minimum odds of Evens to release those free bets.
Over 2.5 Goals @ 1.33
With Arsenal expected to secure a comfortable victory on Monday night, I’m more than happy to back over 2.5 goals. The Gunners produced one of their best performances of the season when they brilliantly dismantled Fulham in their previous home outing, racing into a three-goal lead in the first half, and they could well enjoy another dominant evening against an already-relegated Burnley side.
Moreover, Arsenal have single-handedly cleared the over 2.5 goal line in home matches against the likes of Leeds, Nottingham Forest, Tottenham, Aston Villa, Sunderland and Fulham this season, so they’re more than capable of repeating the trick against the team that holds the worst defensive record in the Premier League this season.
It’s also worth noting that a joint league-high 13 of Burnley’s 18 away games in the top-flight this term have produced over 2.5 goals.
With goal difference still potentially playing a role in the title race, Arsenal will be fully aware this is a prime opportunity to go on the front foot and add to their tally, which only strengthens the case for siding with over 2.5 strikes.
Over 6.5 Arsenal Corners @ 1.40
This is a bigger corner line than I’d typically back, but I’m happy to side with Arsenal to rack up over 6.5 corners against Burnley on Monday night. The Gunners rank among the highest corner performers in the Premier League this season, averaging 5.81 per game, with that figure rising to 6.06 per 90 at the Emirates.
However, a closer look shows Arsenal’s flag kick figures have been trending upwards at home in recent months, highlighted by totals of 7, 10 and 8 against Newcastle, Bournemouth and Everton respectively.
Now up against a Burnley side at the Emirates on Monday night, I think there’s plenty of scope for Arsenal to clear the over 6.5 line again. The Clarets are conceding an average of 6.00 corners per game in the Premier League this season and were forced to defend no fewer than 12 when hosting Manchester City a couple of weeks ago. It’s also worth noting Burnley conceded 8 corners against Aston Villa last weekend, which only adds to the appeal for Arsenal to force 7 or more.
Zian Flemming To Commit 2+ Fouls @ 1.44
Zian Flemming has been in good goalscoring form for Burnley of late, but it’s his foul numbers that I’m focusing on for the purposes of this selection. The Dutchman has been a persistent offender in the Premier League this season, underlined by the fact that he is committing an average of 2.59 fouls per game.
Dig a little deeper and it can be seen that Flemming has been penalised for multiple infringements in 8 of his last 10 top-flight outings, including as many as 5 against Aston Villa last time out.
With Arsenal expected to dictate the tempo of the game on Monday night, Flemming should have plenty of work to do off the ball. What’s more, he’s likely to come up against Arsenal’s centre-half pairing of Gabriel Magalhaes and William Saliba, both of whom are effective at drawing fouls. The former averages 1.07 fouls won per game in the Premier League this season, while the latter’s figure stands at 0.58.
Declan Rice to Have 2+ Shots @ 1.62
I think Declan Rice looks worth backing to attempt two or more shots on Monday night. The all-action Arsenal midfielder averages 1.20 shots per game in the Premier League this season, although that number tends to increase when he comes up against the division’s lesser lights, particularly at the Emirates.
In fact, Rice registered 2+ shots at home against Wolves and West Ham earlier in the campaign. It’s not just limited to sides in the relegation places, as the same has also been true of Arsenal’s home games this season against the likes of Brighton, Manchester United and, more recently, Bournemouth.
Now set to come up against what could be argued is the weakest side in the division, I think Rice should have ample opportunity to fire at least two shots. Burnley tend to spend most games on the back foot, and that should certainly be the case at an expectant Emirates on Monday night. Moreover, the Clarets are conceding a league-high average of 16.92 shots per game, with that figure rising to 17.39 when playing away from Turf Moor.
