Level 1 Bet Builder Tip

🛑 Ben Johnson to Commit 1+ Fouls 🔄

📈 Odds: 1.53

Johnson has committed 24 fouls across his 20 Premier League appearances this season (1.78 per 90). He’s been deployed in a variety of positions by Kieran McKenna who has attempted to make the best use of his unique set of abilities, most recently playing him on the right wing at Stamford Bridge - a game in which he committed a foul.

Johnson’s foul record stays pretty consistent regardless of where he is playing. He’s set to continue in an advanced role here seeing as he registered a goal and assist against Chelsea, as well as creating more chances than any other player (5).

This move to an advanced role pits Johnson directly up against Myles Lewis-Skelly. The 18-year-old has won 33 fouls across his 17 Premier League appearances this season (3.09 per 90) and was brought down three times in the initial meeting between the sides. Johnson committed a foul in the earlier meeting between these teams at the Emirates, too.

🩹 Myles Lewis-Skelly to be Fouled 2+ Times 🔄

📈 Odds: 1.57

Lewis-Skelly has slotted in seamlessly to Arsenal’s backline. He looked incredibly comfortable at the Bernabeu during the week in taking the ball past players and nonchalantly progressing the thirds.

Winning fouls is a key feature of Lewis-Skelly’s game. It’s almost impossible to shrug him off the ball without fouling him, as Real Madrid found out during the week in dragging down the teenager on five separate occasions.

Lewis-Skelly is averaging 3.09 fouls won per 90 in the Premier League this season and was hauled down three times in the initial meeting between the sides at the Emirates. He’ll be up against Ben Johnson who is averaging 1.78 fouls won per 90 in the Premier League this season.

Over 2.5 Goals

📈 Odds: 1.65

Ipswich have seen over 2.5 goals in four of their last five Premier League outings. The exception coming against Crystal Palace who had one of the best defensive records in the league at the time. Arsenal have seen over 2.5 goals in three of their last five matches across all competitions.

Ipswich have had issues in getting results at Portman Road this season, winning just one of their 16 games in front of the home crowd. They’ve seen 49 goals across this period (3.06 per game) which is a record which would suggest that they will continue to see goals here against an Arsenal side that is slowly climbing towards their best again and key players returning from injury.

Arsenal have seen 40 goals across their 16 away games in the Premier League this season (2.5 per game). Only Liverpool have amassed more points on the road than the Gunners this season. Arsenal could end up covering this line on their own if they are as effective in exploiting the vulnerability in the Ipswich backline as other sides have been this season.

🚩 Over 2.5 Ipswich Corners

📈 Odds: 1.36

Ipswich have racked up 3+ corners in each of their last five Premier League matches, a run of games including opponents such as Chelsea, Nottingham Forest, Crystal Palace and Bournemouth. Kieran McKenna’s side do like to try and take the game to the opposition, especially at home but haven’t had much success in getting results utilising this method.

Ipswich are averaging 4.03 corners per game in the Premier League this season. This total rises to 4.31 per game when looking at their games at Portman Road this term. There is likely to be some fatigue filtering through the Arsenal side following their intense game against Real Madrid during the week and whilst Arsenal should still control and win this game, Ipswich can take advantage of this tiredness to register at least three corners.

Level 2 Bet Builder Tip

Liam Delap to Score Anytime 🔄

📈 Odds: 4.0

Delap has scored 12 goals across his 31 Premier League appearances this season, an excellent record for a striker playing for a team battling at the foot of the table. Delap is crucial for Ipswich to have any chance of finding the back of the net here - Ipswich’s next top scorer in the Premier League is Sammie Szmodics who has only scored four goals in the top flight this term.

Delap has recently found the back of the net against Wolves and Bournemouth, he was benched for Ipswich’s visit to Stamford Bridge last time out but still looked lively when he came on, finding the target despite only being on the pitch for 19 minutes.

Delap’s strengths are in acting as an out-ball for the Tractor Boys. His physicality allows him to hold up the ball really well and wait for his other teammates to join the attack. Ipswich don’t really have anything to lose now so expect Kieran McKenna’s side to make the most of the last three Premier League games they have at Portman Road this season.

🚩 Over 9.5 Corners

📈 Odds: 1.73

Both of these sides have been winning corners with regularity of late and for Arsenal, it’s a key part of their attacking apparatus. Ipswich have seen 3+ corners in each of their last five Premier League matches whilst Arsenal have racked up five corners in each of their last five assignments.

Ipswich are seeing 10.13 corners per game at Portman Road this season, Arsenal could prompt a rise in this metric with their willingness to use set pieces to supplement their slightly underwhelming attacking output from open play.

🎯 Arsenal Most Shots on Target in Each Half

📈 Odds: 1.83

Ipswich failed to even have a shot on target in the game at the Emirates and have struggled to go blow for blow in meetings against the top sides. Their 2-2 draw against Chelsea last time out is a good example of this, Ipswich managed to register four shots on target but ultimately had to give up nine to achieve this total, suggesting that their defensive level is still a way off this top level.

Arsenal had five shots on target in the meeting at the Emirates, easily managing more than their opponents in each half. There is quite a disparity in the shot on target numbers of these sides this season. Arsenal are averaging 4.8 shots on target per game in the Premier League this season whilst Ipswich are averaging 3.5 - only Leicester and Southampton are finding the target less frequently than the Tractor Boys.

There is precedent for both of these averages to change slightly here at Portman Road. Arsenal exceeded their average shots on target per game at the Emirates whilst Ipswich came in way under this average in the initial meeting which suggests that Arsenal can come out on top in the shot on target count here.
