Bayern and Leipzig will clash at the Allianz Arena on Saturday evening.
Back-to-back losses in the Bundesliga have seen Bayern fall eight points behind league leaders Leverkusen, leaving Thomas Tuchel with plenty of work to do. However, it is worth noting that both of those losses occurred away from home, with Bayern still possessing an incredible home record.
Leipzig had a disappointing January, losing all of their three matches; however, they did face tough opponents in Stuttgart, Leverkusen and Frankfurt along that run. Marco Rose’s side have quickly bounced back and look to be closing in on the top four, picking up seven points from their last three outings.
The two sides last met in the league in September, with Leipzig failing to hold onto a 2-0 lead, drawing 2-2.
These Bayern Munich v RB Leipzig stats will provide an insight into what to expect from this meeting. If you plan to place a bet builder on this game, this is the place to find some key tips.

🥅 Goals stats: Goals flying in at both ends
Wherever Bayern have gone, goals have followed this season. Tuchel’s side possess the best home attacking record in the Bundesliga, having scored an average of 3.36 goals per home game at this stage. Harry Kane has played a key role in this, scoring 25 goals across his 22 starts for the club.
Bayern have appeared to struggle defensively at times, conceding an average of 1.14 goals per game this campaign, and the hosts’ defensive stability will definitely not be helped by absence of both Noussair Mazraoui and Dayot Upamecano.
Leipzig have looked a dangerous outfit on the road this season, scoring an average of 1.8 goals per away match. The visitors have already faced strong opponents in Dortmund and Stuttgart away from home, scoring five goals across those two meetings. Rose will be disappointed with his side’s defensive record, with Leipzig conceding in each of their last seven matches on away soil.
Both teams have scored in three of Bayern’s last four league games, and in all of Leizpig’s last five. We expect both sides to be amongst the goals in this one.
Predictions:
⚽ Both teams to score @ 1.40
🎯 Shooting stats: Musiala and Kane to test Gulacsi
As expected, Bayern have looked dangerous at the Allianz Arena this season, registering an average of 9.18 shots on target per home game.
So far, no player has registered more shots on target in the Bundesliga than Harry Kane. The English striker has registered an average of 2.71 shots on target across his last seven starts at home, finding the target at least twice in five of those outings.
Another Bayern player with an eye for goal is Jamal Musiala, who has registered an average of 1.17 shots on target across his last six home starts. The rising star found the target four times in his last outing.
The bookies are offering a price of 1.62 for Kane to find the target on two or more occasions, and the same price for Musiala to do so at least once.
Predictions:
⚽ Harry Kane to have 2+ shots on target @ 1.62
⚽ Jamal Musiala to have 1+ shots on target @ 1.62
🚩 Corners stats: Expect plenty of corners
No side has taken more corners than Bayern in the Bundesliga this season. The hosts have earned a minimum of six corners in all of their 11 home games thus far, forcing an average of 8.27 corners per home match.
Leipzig have conceded their fair share of corners when playing away from home this campaign. The visitors have allowed their opponents to take an average of 4.4 corners per game across their 11 away trips.
Predictions:
⚽ Over 4.5 Bayern corners @ 1.40
🛑 Fouls stats: A busy evening for Schlager
Leipzig have committed an average of 10.7 fouls per game in the Bundesliga this season and have committed at minimum of nine fouls in all of their last 18 games across all competitions.
One player who has contributed greatly to this is Xaver Schlager. The Austrian midfielder has committed a foul in six of his last seven appearances, committing an average of 2 fouls per match in that run.
Schlager, who committed five fouls in his last appearance against Bayern, will have the difficult task of facing the likes of Thomas Muller and Jamal Musiala, who have drawn an average of 1 and 3.66 fouls per game across their last three starts, respectively.
Value of 1.25 is available for Schlager to commit at least one foul, with a very generous price of 2.25 being offered for the Austrian to commit two or more.
Predictions:
⚽ Xaver Schlager to commit 1+ fouls @ 1.25
⚽ Xaver Schlager to commit 2+ fouls @ 2.25
🟨 Cards stats: Leipzig to keep the referee busy
Leipzig have received their fair share of yellow cards when playing away from home this season. Across their last five away matches, the visitors have received an average of 2.4 cards per game.
Bayern have clearly made things difficult for their opposition at the Allianz Arena, with their last five opponents earning an average of more than two cards per game.
Leipzig picked up two yellow cards when they hosted Bayern earlier this season and have been prone to accumulating more bookings when playing away. Excellent value of 1.57 is being offered for at least two of Leipzig’s players to be carded here.
Predictions:
⚽ Over 1.5 Leipzig cards @ 1.57
