Level 1 Bet Builder Tip
🥅 Over 0.5 First Half Goals
📈 Odds: 1.29
Bradford have had two 0-0 draws in League Two this season, against Salford and AFC Wimbledon. In all of their other seven matches there has been a goal in the first half of play.
Every league game involving Newport this season has seen a goal in the first 45 minutes. That’s 16 out of 18 games featuring either of the two sides where this leg of the bet builder would’ve landed so far this season.
🥅 Both Teams to Score
📈 Odds: 1.87
Both team to score has won in seven of Bradford’s nine League Two matches this season with the aforementioned 0-0s with Salford and AFC Wimbledon the only games where this bet has failed to land.
In Newport’s League Two matches this season both teams have scored in six out of nine. Combined, that’s 13/18. Both Bradford and Newport have scored in seven of the nine League Two matches each side have played this season.
🥅 Over 2.5 Goals
📈 Odds: 1.65
Over 2.5 goals have been scored in six of Bradford’s nine League Two matches this season and in seven of Newport’s nine League Two games. That means 13 of the 18 League Two matches that have involved either Bradford or Newport have seen more than two goals in them.
Newport are the fourth-highest goalscorers in the division with 15, bettered only by Notts County, Walsall and Fleetwood. They average 1.67 goals per game in League Two this season. Bradford have scored 11 goals in nine matches at an average of 1.22 per game.
🏆 Newport (+2 Handicap)
📈 Odds: 1.53
As you can see by the goal market selections, we expect that Newport will at the very least score an away goal at Bradford. With that in mind, it makes sense to include the away team as a handicap selection.
Bradford have only scored two or more goals in a league game once this season – that was in a 3-1 win over Bromley, who had Ashley Charles sent off in the eighth minute of the game, leaving Bradford to play against ten men for over 80 minutes. It’s also the only time in League Two this season where Bradford have won by more than a one-goal margin.

Level 2 Bet Builder Tip
🥅 Over 0.5 First Half Goals
📈 Odds: 1.29
We’re taking one of the legs used in the Level 1 bet builder and re-using it here. As noted above, this bet would have landed in 16 of the 18 League Two games this two sides have played this season, including all nine of Newport’s.
Bradford have been involved in two 0-0 draws, but that looks unlikely to be the case again here, especially with Newport having been amongst the league’s top scorers.
This game has the makings of a shoot-out with an early goal setting the tone. Therefore, this looks like the ideal leg to offer a solid foundation on which to build the remainder of the bet builder.
🥅 A Goal to be Scored in Both Halves
📈 Odds: 1.60
The reasoning for a goal in the first half can be found in the first leg of this bet builder.
Now if we look at the data for second half goals in matches involving Bradford and Newport, Bradford’s League Two matches have seen a second half goal in five out of nine league games. In Newport games, the scoreboard has been troubled in the second half in seven of their nine.
If the match goes how we expect and becomes a shoot-out, then a goal in one half should positively increase the chances of one in the second.
🏆 Newport double chance
📈 Odds: 2.63
As previously mentioned, Newport can, at the very least score against Bradford and this immediately improves their chances of getting a result.
They are the fourth-highest scorers in the league and have scored twice or more in a game on five out of nine league fixtures so far this season. Granted, they have the second-worst defensive numbers in the league, behind Carlisle. But their attacking prowess gives them a chance going into every game.
Bradford come into the fixture after picking up two points from a possible 12 in their previous four matches. The latest 1-1 draw with Morecambe and 2-1 defeat to Harrogate has seen manager Graham Alexander come under pressure and Newport can ramp that up further here.
⚽ Bobby Kamwa to Score Anytime
📈 Odds: 6.00
Newport’s goal threat is multifaceted with midfielder, Aaron Wildig (4), forward, Courtney Baker-Richardson (2) and defender, Matthew Baker (2) already scoring more than once this season. In the last two matches we’ve also seen Kyle Hudlin, Michael Spellman and Cameron Evans open their account for the season.
However, winger-come-striker, Bobby Kamwa is yet to register a goal – this despite accumulating a total xG for the season of 2.52, the 13th-highest in the league. He’s the only player inside the top 20 for this metric who is yet to score.
Newport are likely to play with Kamwa starting from the left-wing but with Anthony Driscoll-Glennon also providing width on that side of the pitch when he gets forward to overlap, Kamwa has the licence to drift infield and pick up pockets of space. Kamwa took four shots at the Crewe goal two matches ago and has taken two or more shots in four of his nine league matches this season.
Bradford, owing to injuries, have had to move away from a three-at-the-back setup to a flat back four in recent matches and they look ill-suited to it. Expect Kamwa to try and get himself 1v1 with an immobile Cheick Diabate and wriggle his way to some scoring opportunities.
