The biggest match in the non-league calendar has come around and the exciting news is that the EFL will be welcoming a brand new club into its history books, but will it be Bromley or Solihull Moors?

Bromley are probably favourites given that they finished the regular season in third, five points ahead of Solihull. A come-from-behind home win over Altrincham in the play-off semi-final has secured their place at Wembley. This is the first play-off final that Bromley have reached, despite being in the play-offs in consecutive seasons in 2021/22 and 2022/23.
Bromley are no strangers to Wembley though. They have contested two FA Trophy finals there in recent seasons. In 2018 they lost on penalties to Brackley Town, but they won their first ever FA Trophy in 2022, beating Wrexham in the final 1-0.
Solihull Moors are actually a relatively new concept having merged in 2007 from two smaller non-league clubs, Moor Green and Solihull Borough. They are bettering Bromley’s recent Wembley record by going there twice in a week having also reached the FA Trophy final. They could play that 11th May final as a league club for the first time if they can get the better of Bromley on Sunday.

⚔️ Bromley v Solihull Moors Head-to-Head
The teams have met three times this season, with a win each and a draw, so there’s no clear form line to be taken from the bare results.
Probably the most important of the three meetings was the FA Trophy semi-final on 6th April. Moors won that match 2-1 with two goals from Alex Whitmore.
The league match at Bromley was exactly a week later and Bromley took some measure of revenge, winning that one 3-0 with goals from Michael Cheek, Jude Arthurs, and Ben Krauhaus.
Krauhaus has actually scored in all three matches against Moors this season as he also put Bromley ahead in September at the ARMCO Arena, only for Kade Craig to equalise ten minutes later.
It is always to be expected that a play-off final is likely to be very close. The head-to-head results from the season definitely suggest that this play-off final will be no different. Moors should feel confident that they did the business in a big one-off match against Bromley recently, but Bromley, equally, will feel better that they comprehensively beat Moors a week on, and they have their own one-off big match success under their belt from the FA Trophy last season.
📊 Bromley Form and Stats
Bromley had the benefit of a week off between the league ending and their play-off semi-final as a result of finishing in the top three in the league. They used this time to good effect as a strong second half against Altrincham was the difference in getting them to this final.
Bromley have had a tough run of fixtures to end the season. As well as the aforementioned FA Trophy semi-final with Solihull Moors, they have also played 2nd-placed Barnet and 6th-placed Gateshead away from home in that time. They failed to win either of those tricky away games, but their play-off place was already secured, and their third place was already secure by the time they played Gateshead, so nothing was on the line for Bromley.
They have been scoring goals though. They have scored at least once in every match since 23rd March at home to York, that is an eight-match run in all competitions. This includes scoring three in three of their last four matches, once against Moors, one against Oxford City, and then in the play-off semi-final as well.
📊 Solihull Moors Form and Stats
Moors’ recent form is very strong, as you might expect from a team in the play-off final and FA Trophy final.
Not only did they secure their play-off spot with wins over Wealdstone, Ebbsfleet and York in the regular season, albeit punctuated by that 3-0 defeat at Bromley, they put four goals past Halifax in the play-off quarter-final, then demolished top-seeded Barnet 4-0 at The Hive Stadium.
Tahvon Campbell and Jack Stevens scored in both matches, Campbell is Moors’ top scorer with 13 goals, but they have several players who have contributed to the scoresheet over the season with Stevens, Mark Beck, and Callum Maycock all on eight goals.
💰 Bromley v Solihull Moors Best Bets
Play-off finals are usually known as very cagey affairs, and that may well be the case, but recent National League play-off finals have been fairly entertaining, goal-laden affairs.
Notts County came from two goals down to Chesterfield last season to get through on penalties, and indeed the last four National League play-off finals have seen both teams score. With the goalscoring form of the two teams heading into this match, plus the fact that both scored against each other in the FA Trophy semi-final a month ago, both teams to score in this final at 1.57 on bet365 seems a solid bet.
However, the preference for the best bet is to add over 2.5 goals to BTTS. Over 2.5 goals copped in two of the three meetings between the sides this season, it has also landed in eight out of the last 10 National League play-off finals. Five of Moors’ last six matches have gone over 2.5 goals, and the same for Bromley.
Over 2.5 goals and Both Teams To Score is priced at 1.95 on bet365, which is the best bet for this match.
Another bet that could be of interest is for Ben Krauhaus to score anytime. He has seven goals to his name this season for Bromley, with three in three games against Solihull Moors. He will be aware of this and it must give him confidence heading into the match. Ben Krauhaus is priced at 6.0 to score anytime on Sky Bet, and 15.0 to score first on Sky Bet.
