Crystal Palace come into this clash sitting 14th in the Premier League with 39 points from 30 matches. It has been a challenging campaign for the Eagles, who have had to deal with losing some of their key players, but they are 10 points clear of the drop zone, having lost just one of their last four league matches. The Conference League has provided a bit more positivity throughout the season, although Palace weren’t particularly convincing against AEK Larnaca in the previous round. It finished 0-0 in the first leg at Selhurst Park, and boos rang out from the home crowd at full time.
Fiorentina, meanwhile, are probably the most experienced side in the Conference League. They have completed three campaigns in the competitions - twice reaching the final, and they made it to the semi-finals last season before losing to Real Betis in extra time. Fiorentina beat Rakow 4-2 on aggregate in the round of 16, and they come into this clash on a six-game unbeaten run across all competitions. Fiorentina are a difficult matchup for any side in this competition, and they won’t be intimidated on their trip to Selhurst Park on Thursday night.

Adam Wharton has been struggling with an injury in recent weeks, and he departed the England camp early to continue his recovery - he is unlikely to feature here, which means Will Hughes could partner Daichi Kamada in midfield. On a more positive note, Daniel Munoz should be fit enough to start, meaning no more Brennan Johnson at right wing back. Chris Richards, Maxence Lacroix and Jaydee Canvot look set to continue in a familiar back three for the Eagles.
Fiorentina have a few more injury concerns to deal with - Dodo was absent from the matchday squad at the weekend, joining Rolando Mandragora in the treatment room. Albert Gudmundsson was sent off against Hellas Verona last time out, but will be available to feature in the Conference League, and he is likely to start upfront alongside Moise Kean and Jack Harrison.
