This would indicate that this could be a slightly more awkward assignment for Palace seeing as they have only drawn one of these matches so the Norwegian’s sides’ results tend to be pretty black and white.

Palace would have been slightly frustrated not to have made more of their dominance in the first leg. Oliver Glasner was particularly frustrated at times with the lack of cutting edge from the Eagles who only scored one goal from the 25 shots they had on the Fredrikstad goal, five of which found the target.

This can be costly in European ties and Palace could be in for a rude awakening as they haven’t found themselves in this situation before in recent seasons. However, the experience of Oliver Glasner in European competition should aid them in getting over the line.

They’ve made it more difficult for themselves than it needed to be but they should still have enough to come through this tie.
