Level 1 Bet Builder Tip
🚀 Eberechi Eze to have 4+ Shots
📈 Odds: 1.62
Only Erling Haaland and Antoine Semenyo average more shots per game than Eze so far this season. He has racked up 4.10 per 90 which is a really high rate for a player in this Palace team. Eze has only converted one of those attempts into a goal and he has been short of the scoring numbers he would have wanted this season, but it isn’t for a lack of trying. He is the main man in this Palace offense, takes free kicks and might even find himself on penalty duty.
🚀 Alexander Isak to have 3+ Shots
📈 Odds: 1.67
Sweden international Alexander Isak is another player who ranks in the top ten in the Premier League for shots per 90 (3.20). He’s netted four goals and generally been in good form apart from on Monday night against West Ham where he fired in an incredible 6 attempts without finding the target. Isak will be keen to make his mark here so to back him just to have three or more shots seems very reasonable. It would be a surprise if he didn’t find the target this time, but because he’ll be keen to fire, the shots market might be the most sensible route to take.
⚽ Over 2.5 Goals
📈 Odds: 1.75
With the exception of a 0-0 draw at Goodison Park against Everton, all of Newcastle’s away matches have been fairly high-scoring this season. 4 out of 6 have gone over 2.5 goals and 5 out of 6 have seen BTTS land. Everyone expected their most recent road match at Forest to be a clear under 2.5 affair, but the game really opened up and Newcastle eventually won 3-1.
Perhaps playing on the road suits this team better right now and they could have some success facing a Palace team who have only kept two clean sheets all season. Oliver Glasner’s men have not looked as strong defensively and a couple of recent 2-2 draws point towards goals in the fixture. Taking over 2.5 goals looks quite a big price when you consider the recent form of both teams.
🩹 Bruno Guimaraes to be Fouled 2+ Times 🔄
📈 Odds: 1.25
The most fouled player in the Premier League this season is Bruno Guimaraes, and by a considerable margin. He has drawn a massive 3.80 fouls per 90 which is an extraordinary rate and highlights how canny he is at winning free kicks. Opponents know that he can be central to Newcastle’s success so they regularly target him. Guimaraes was only fouled once on Monday night against West Ham but should be backed with confidence to draw at least two fouls here at Selhurst Park. He’s up against Will Hughes who averages nearly two fouls committed per game.

Level 2 Bet Builder Tip
🏆 Newcastle to Win
📈 Odds: 2.30
The Magpies were surprisingly poor on Monday night suffering a shock 2-0 home defeat to West Ham United. They dominated the match for an hour though and it was only when they went two goals down that they appeared to run out of ideas. Prior to that, Eddie Howe’s men were looking the most likely to equalise and they generally dominated the underlying metrics.
We should expect a reaction from Newcastle here because prior to that loss they had won three straight games in all competitions. Their away record isn’t too bad with wins at Wolves and Forest, in addition to draws at Everton and Bournemouth. They now face a Palace team who have been lacking confidence all season, winning just one solitary game and suffering 3 defeats out of 6 at home.
⚽ Alexander Isak to Score or Assist 🔄
📈 Odds: 2.25
Newcastle’s star man upfront was left a frustrated figure on Monday night when he failed to hit the target from 6 attempts against West Ham. He was clearly desperate for a goal and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him hit the back of the net here.
Isak had been on a strong run of form before missing a penalty on national team duty for Sweden. He scored in five straight games and also weighed in with two assists so his confidence shouldn’t have deserted him. Isak has three assists across all competitions this season so taking him in the ‘to score or assist’ market probably merits some value. It gives an alternative option in case he fires blanks again but he looks like a hungry striker who can rebound well here.
🟨 Over 4.5 Cards
📈 Odds: 2.0
The referee for this match is Darren England and it immediately springs to attention that he averages over five cards per game in the Premier League this season.
This is below his overall career rate which is just below four but he appears noticeably stricter on the stats this season, especially recently. In the last three games officiated he’s dished out 21 yellows, 2 reds and also given 2 penalties.
Both of these sides are mid table for cards this season but in a fixture where plenty is on the line, things could explode. There’s enough fiery characters on both sides like Joelinton, Fabian Schar and a Dan Burn, who returns from suspension.
🛑 Daniel Munoz to Commit 2+ Fouls 🔄
📈 Odds: 1.67
Colombian right back Daniel Munoz averages 1.70 fouls per 90 for Palace this season and has also racked up 4 cards.
Taking him to commit two or more fouls looks a good option in this match because he has a horrible matchup. Anthony Gordon is up against him and he is fouled 2.50 times per contest, and has a knack of drawing cards to opposing right backs. To make matters worse, Harvey Barnes could also be an option for Newcastle either off the bench or even from the start. Both of these players are very good technically and likely to draw fouls. It’s going to be very hard for Munoz to stay clean in this game and he is likely to rack up multiple fouls.
