Portugal have already sewn up top spot in the section but the other three teams are all still vying for either second or third place. After suffering late heartbreak in their 2-1 defeat against Portugal, the Czech Republic picked up their first point of the campaign when drawing 1-1 with Georgia on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Turkey currently occupy second place in Group F on account of beating Georgia in their opening match, though the Crescent Stars have since been put to the sword 3-0 by Portugal. Avoiding defeat in their final group game would guarantee Turkey a place in the knockout round.
Czech Republic v Turkey Best Bets
Considering the state of play in Group F, the 1.7 on Paddy Power for this fixture to feature Over 4.5 cards holds plenty of appeal. There was a sharp increase in the number of cards being flashed by referees during the second phase of group matches, with nine of the 12 games featuring four or more cards. That sample included the Czech Republic’s clash with Georgia on Saturday, which saw the referee produce a whopping nine yellow cards, while Turkey’s tussle with Portugal generated five bookings.
What’s more, the Crescent Stars’ games during qualifying were averaging a sizeable 6.63 cards per game Given the importance of this match for both sides, Swiss referee Sandro Scharer could be in for a busy evening, making the 1.70 on Paddy Power for over 4.5 cards an attractive option.
As for a player-based selection, Czech Republic defender Tomas Holes looks like a nice slice of value to commit a minimum of one foul at 1.62 on Paddy Power. The 31-year-old has committed a combined total of three fouls across the Lions’ opening two Group F fixtures and received a yellow card against Georgia last time out.
While Holes’ foul per 90-minute average was low during Euro 2024 qualifying, the Czechs were housed in a relatively soft section that contained none of the continent’s elite sides. Domestically, Holes was averaging 0.73 fouls per game for Slavia Prague this season, a tally that shot up to 1.45 when playing in the Europa League. With all that in mind, a solitary Holes foul looks worth supporting at 1.62.

📊 Czech Republic Form and Stats
The Czech Republic arrived at Euro 2024 in fine form, having won each of their five matches in the lead-up to this summer’s showpiece.
After pushing Portugal all the way in their Group F opener, Ivan Hasek’s side will consider themselves unlucky to have come away from that encounter empty-handed.
Understandably, the Czechs put in a backs-to-the-wall display against Portugal, however, they produced a much more proactive approach against Georgia last time out.
The Lions laid siege to the Georgia goal, racking up 27 shots, with an eye-watering 12 of those efforts hitting the target.
The Czech Republic also dominated possession (62%) against the Georgians (38%) but lacked composure in the final third. That lack of cutting edge was also apparent during qualifying, with the Czech’s tally of 12 team goals the joint-lowest of all the nations that qualified directly for Euro 2024.
As was the case for long periods against Portugal, the Czech Republic demonstrated against Georgia that their real strengths lie in defence, with the Crusaders scoring with their solitary on-target effort, which came from the penalty spot.
Patrik Schick scored his first goal in a competitive game for the national team in almost two years against Georgia on Saturday. The Bayer Leverkusen striker was responsible for four of the Czechs’ 12 on-target efforts against Willy Sagnol’s side.
📊 Turkey Form and Stats
Despite claiming a 3-1 win in their opening Group F fixture against Georgia, Turkey’s recent form doesn’t make for great reading. That victory against the Crusaders represents the Crescent Stars’ solitary success across their last seven matches.
After shipping three goals against Portugal on Saturday, Turkey have now failed to keep a clean sheet in seven of their last eight outings.
Last time out, the shot count was 12-11 in Portugal’s favour, with Roberto Martinez’s side hitting the target with just three of those efforts. A sizeable nine of those 12 Portuguese shots arrived from inside the Turkish penalty area.
Kerem Akturkoglu was responsible for three of Turkey’s 11 shots, hitting the target with one of those attempts. The Galatasaray winger is 1.83 to work the Czech Republic goalkeeper just once on Wednesday night
Turkey threw their weight around against Portugal, committing 16 fouls and picking up three yellow cards in the process. The Crescent Stars have received two or more bookings in each of their last eight competitive matches. Given the lay of the land in Group F, we should expect to see that trend continue on Wednesday night.
Hakan Calhanoglu has committed two fouls in each of Turkey’s opening two games of the tournament. A repeat here can be backed at a tempting 2.7.
⚔️ Czech Republic v Turkey Head-to-Head
The two nations were housed in the same group at Euro 2016. Turkey ran out 2-0 winners eight years ago, though both teams ultimately ended up failing to qualify for the knockout round. Current Turkey captain Hakan Calhanoglu was an unused substitute during that clash in Lens.
Since then, the duo have met just once – a friendly fixture in November 2022. Turkey took top honours courtesy of a 2-1 win, with the aforementioned Hakan Calhanoglu’s goal proving decisive in Gaziantep.
In total, the pair have crossed paths 11 times, with neither nation holding the upper hand in terms of the overall head-to-head record. Both countries have five wins each to their name, with the other meeting ending all square.
