AGF v FC Midtjylland
🏟
Sunday 9th October – 1:00PM KO
This is a match between the two largest clubs of Jutland. It should be a heated fixture between two fan groups that don’t like each other.
The home side played a good match last week, but were unlucky to narrowly lose 1-0 away against FC Copenhagen. They remain a part of the top of the league, currently sitting fifth, and the fans are dreaming of qualifying for European football once again. They have the second-best defense in the league, having only conceded 11 goals so far, but they have a difficult task ahead. AGF are likely to be without goalkeeper Jesper Hansen, while backup goalkeeper Kristian Bråtveit is suffering from an illness. Defender Oliver Lund and midfielder Benjamin Hvidt are furthermore injured, and winger Mikael Andersson is doubtful.
FC Midtjylland played a great game Thursday, coming back from 0-2 to draw 2-2 against Feyenoord in the Europa League. However, domestically they aren’t doing as well. Midtjylland are still to be found in the lower half of the league with just 14 points. They are slowly climbing up the table though, and newly appointed head coach Albert Capellas is starting to leave his mark on the team. They are undefeated in their last three league games, and have performed fantastically in European football.
We expect a tight and exciting match between two teams who are developing in a positive direction. It’s two good offenses, and the tip for the game is both teams to score at odds 1.66 at Betfair.

OB v Silkeborg
🏟
Sunday 9th October – 3:00PM KO
OB versus Silkeborg is one of those classic Danish matches that always means a little bit extra. There is a lot of history here, and this should be an interesting meeting.
The home side stole the headlines Friday when they announced Thomas Helveg as new assistant coach. The former Champions League winner with AC Milan is a great addition to the coaching staff, and he should be able to contribute positively to OB’s upwards trend. OB have earned 13 points in their last six Superliga matches, and following a horrible start to the season, things are really starting to look good. They are undefeated in their last three games, having won two of them, and they should have more than enough confidence.
Silkeborg took an incredible victory Thursday, when they won 5-0 at home against Romanian giants FCSB in the Conference League. Kent Nielsen’s troops continue to impress this season and are currently fourth in the Superliga. They have two victories in the previous three matches domestically, and they are expected to once again challenge for European football. Only issue for Silkeborg is that they’ll be without goalkeeper Nicolai Larsen due to an injury.
This should be an entertaining game between two teams that are filled to the brink with confidence. We expect chances and lots of them, and odds 1.62 on both teams to score at Betfair is great value.

Randers v Brøndby
🏟
Sunday 9th October – 5:00PM KO
It is top versus bottom when Randers, who are second, take on 10th placed Brøndby in the match of the week. The last meeting between the two sides ended 2-2 after a dramatic finish, and now it is time for the re-match.
Monday evening, Randers lost the top battle against FC Nordsjælland and missed the chance of conquering the first place in the league. This was the first defeat of the season, but Thomas Thomasberg’s troops are still doing an incredible job. It is going to be really interesting to see how the Horses react to the defeat. They need to pick themselves up and get back to their old level. They should be able to do this though, as they have been stable and difficult to break down all season.
Brøndby are struggling too. The 2021 champions are fighting to avoid relegation, and last week they suffered another disappointment. Although Brøndby are undefeated in their last four games, they have only won one of them, and they haven’t played well. They are struggling to create chances, and there is chaos in the club. The most powerful fan group is in open war with the board and the players, and the club is in negotiations with a potential new owner. Until that negotiation is closed, it is unlikely that the club can start moving forward.
We expect the home side to be the strongest team of the two. There is two lot of chaos at Brøndby, but to be on the safe side, we are going with the draw-no-bet version. Odds 1.65 on Randers to win, with the money back in case of draw at Betfair, is more than acceptable.

AC Horsens v AaB
🏟
Monday 10th October – 6:00PM KO
Monday evening’s Superliga match is arguably the least exciting of the round. Horsens and AaB have both struggled offensively this season and are the only two teams in the league to average less than one goal per match.
Despite the lack of goals, Horsens have performed decently this season. They are currently ranked eighth in the league, and recently defeated league leaders, FC Nordsjælland. Last week, Horsens lost narrowly to Silkeborg, but with 14 points after 11 matches, the promoted side can be satisfied with the harvest so far. Horsens’ foundation is a solid defense, which their 10-12 goal difference also shows, and they need to shut down their opponents to get points.
AaB have been one of the biggest disappointments this season. The team from the north of Jutland are 11th in the Superliga with a goal difference of 10-15. They have only won two games so far, and the hopes of finishing in the top six have more or less vanished at this stage. They fired head coach Lars Friis after nine games and his replacement Erik Hamrén has gone his first two matches without winning. To make things worse, AaB are without offensive midfielder Allan Sousa, one of their best offensive players.
The tip of the game is under 2.5 goals at odds 1.75 at Betfair Sportsbook. We expect a slow game with few chances. Neither of the teams can afford to lose, and neither team create many chances.
