Despite this being a potential fairytale goodbye for one of Britain’s most iconic heavyweights in recent years, it’s hard to look past Otto Wallin winning at the Co-op Arena on Saturday night.

Wallin is definitely the quicker of the two fighters, allowing him to control the distance and frustrate Chisora’s aggressive style. Wallin’s durability was on full display when he went the distance with Tyson Fury, even cutting him badly, proving he can handle pressure and return fire effectively.

While experienced and tough, Chisora has shown signs of slowing down in recent years, often struggling against fitter and more technical boxers. His high-pressure style demands strong stamina, but at 40 years old, fatigue could be a major factor, especially against Wallin’s smart movement and counterpunching.

‘Del Boy’ will be gunning for a puncher’s chance KO in this one, but the smart money has to be riding with the Swede on Saturday night.

Tying in with the previous best bet, Saturday night could very well be a case of Walling slowing Chisora down and using his footwork walk him to a decision victory.

They don’t make them tougher than Derek Chisora, and he’s never been a fighter accused of folding when the pressure is on in a one-sided fight.

Chisora will no doubt cause problems early on for the Swede and will be head-hunting a potential early KO.

However once the fight goes past the 4th/5th, it will very likely be a case of Wallin going through the motions and picking apart Chisora.

Backing Wallin to stroll to a decision victory at 7/4 seems decent value.

Whilst Wallin is likely to cruise to a comfortable victory in Manchester on Saturday night, 25/1 for Chisora to score a knockdown in the opening three rounds is fantastic value.

Chisora has a chance in this fight, and that chance lies in him coming out of the blocks fast and utilising his superior knockout power. Wallin does tend to start fights off cautiously and find his rhythm.

The crowd will be with Chisora for this one, and the early rounds are his best chance at clutching something from this fight.
