🎯 Shots on Target
In terms of shots on target, there’s only a handful of players worth looking into.
Harry Kane is best placed here with an average of one shot on target per 90, down from the 1.94 he was producing in the Bundesliga for Bayern Munich last season. He has managed just four six on target throughout the tournament.
Bellingham appears on the radar here too, the Real Madrid man has also been stifled compared to his club performance. Despite netting twice, he has just 0.83 shots per game, with 0.5 per 90 of those hitting the target, with Los Blancos, he clocks 1.32 on target per game.
Kane, Bellingham and Foden aside, no England player has managed more than three shots on target.
Trent Alexander-Arnold’s performance is worth flagging. He managed three shots (one on target) in a midfield position against Serbia but was taken off before the hour mark against Denmark and has not started a game since.
✅ Shots on Target Market Best Player: Harry Kane
🛑 Fouls committed
One area of clear strength in this England side has been their ability to be clean defensively. With only 8.33 fouls conceded per game, they have been one of the cleanest sides in the competition.
In addition to this, they have shared their fouls around effectively. Five players sit on five fouls conceded, including Conor Gallagher, who has not yet played two hours of football.
Declan Rice, Bellingham, Kane and Bukayo Saka are the others to have committed five or more fouls. With both players averaging 1.0 fouls per game, Bukayo Saka and Jude Bellingham are the leading regulars in this category. Followed by Kane (0.83), and Rice (0.83).
Marc Guehi, who was suspended for the quarter-final, the sole England player to be banned at the competition, has given up 0.67 fouls per game.
✅ Fouls Committed Market Best Player: Bukayo Saka and Jude Bellingham
🚀 Shots
Harry Kane may have been isolated for much of the tournament, but with 17 shots, he stands well clear of everyone else in the England squad as being a consistent threat to goal. Of players who have featured for more than 150 minutes, he is the only one to average above 2 shots per game, offering 2.83.
Remarkably, there are only two others in this bracket to even muster more than 1 shot per game: Phil Foden (2), and Saka (1.33).

🩹 Fouls Won
England have been outstanding at winning fouls. With 14 fouls per 90, they rank highest of any other team in this category at Euro 2024. The next best are Hungary on 13.
Jude Bellingham has been the master here, winning 14 fouls. Given his love of having the ball at his feet, this is perhaps little surprise.
With 2.33 per 90, he edged Kane (1.83) into second place and Saka (1.66) into third. This trio are the notable protagonists in virtually every bet builder market for England and again are dominant here.
Gallagher’s numbers are also worth highlighting in this capacity as he has won five fouls from his minimal game time. The Chelsea man has played only 119 minutes but has ten foul involvements across four substitute appearances.

📖 Route to the Final
This has been achieved despite drawing four of their five matches through 90 minutes and offering an offensive threat that has been pitiful given the rich talent that Southgate has at his disposal.
A 1-0 victory over Serbia saw Jude Bellingham’s header give Southgate’s side three points in their opening goal. On the one hand, it proved a precursor as to what was to come as the Three Lions struggled to create chances, offering just 0.5 xG, but on the other hand, it did not as it is the only game they have actually won in normal time.
Denmark followed, with Harry Kane’s opener cancelled out by Morten Hjulmand, and the group stages were rounded off with a scoreless draw against Slovenia when qualification was secured.
Into the last 16 and it took an acrobatic effort from Bellingham to save England from an embarrassing loss to Slovakia. Kane subsequently struck in extra time to seal victory in what was the first game for Southgate’s side to generate more than 0.9 xG.
With a nation waiting for an improvement, the Three Lions were arguably worse against Switzerland. Bukayo Saka provided a moment of inspiration to drag them back into the match after going a goal down, but the performance was bland and the victory on penalties failed to disguise the toils of a team that created just 0.6 xG in two hours.
