⚡ Paddy Power MNF Boost: Back Moises Caceido & Joao Palhinha to Commit 2+ Fouls Each in Fulham v Chelsea @ 5/1 (was 5/2)
+Max £10 bet
Monday Night Football just got even better, and that’s down to the fine folks over at Paddy Power! Ahead of this evening’s west London derby between Fulham and Chelsea, they are offering customers the opportunity to get on Moises Caceido and Joao Palhinha to commit two fouls each at a price of 5/1, boosted from the original price of 5/2.
Two of the most foul-happy players in the Premier League lock horns in the midfield on Monday night as Chelsea travel to Craven Cottage to face Fulham. Moises Caceido hasn’t exactly set the world alight for the Blues since his British-record transfer fee from Brighton. The Ecuadorian has, however, been a consistent fouler since togging out in west London. Averaging exactly two fouls per 90, and tasked with marking tricky customers in Andreas Periera and Willian, this could prove to be another difficult night for the midfielder.
Joao Palhinha has been a menace in the fouls department since arriving at Craven Cottage last summer. Topping the Premier League foul chart last season would be comforting enough for anyone backing two fouls, but the Portuguese is also averaging 1.52 fouls per 90 this season. This derby is bound to get feisty, and you can get involved in backing the fouls boost via the link here.

The Monday Night Football this week sees Fulham take on Chelsea at Craven Cottage in the west London derby, and what better way to bring the curtain down on this weekend’s Premier League action than by strapping in for this tantalising encounter live on Sky Sports.
Marco Silva and his Fulham side head into this fixture in good form having lost just once in their last six matches in all competitions, and that was a 5-1 away defeat to Manchester City. This run includes beating in-form Tottenham Hotspur in the EFL Cup on penalties and a fourth round win in the same competition against Norwich City in midweek. They will also be looking to build on some solid defensive performances with a third consecutive Premier League clean sheet here.
Chelsea themselves progressed to the 5th Round of the EFL Cup on Wednesday by beating Brighton 1-0. Mauricio Pochettino will now be hoping to snap their winless run in the league that has also seen them fail to score in their previous three matches. Chelsea’s expensively assembled squad is lacking in confidence at the moment and the Argentinian will be hoping the derby can provide the kickstart they desperately need.

More West London bragging rights for Silva?
Marco Silva will be aiming to secure more bragging rights in this West London derby. Fulham finished above their neighbours last season and currently sit three places higher in the table this term through the opening six matches, something Silva will be keen on maintaining come full-time.
Fulham beat Chelsea 2-1 at Craven Cottage in January and will go in search of back-to-back home victories for the first time since 1977. In fact, that win was their first over Chelsea in 21 meetings and they followed this with a credible 0-0 draw in the reverse fixture at Stamford Bridge four weeks later.
The home side come into this one having rested several key first-teamers in the EFL Cup in midweek and should be fresh and ready to go. Priced up at 3.80 they are the obvious underdogs here but will certainly want to maintain the good recent record they hold over their rivals.
Pochettino’s side performing better than table suggests?
Chelsea are currently languishing in 15th place in the league table, but things could be a lot brighter, such are the fine margins of Premier League football. There is plenty of optimism for Pochettino and there is every reason to believe that positive results are just around the corner.
Only Manchester City and Liverpool have better defensive records this season. The ageless Thiago Silva partnered with youngster Levi Colwill appears to be the basis for a solid unit having only conceded 6 times, which could provide a blueprint for progression under Pochettino.
At the other end of the pitch, Chelsea have the worst goals to expected goals ratio in the league with -6.5. Whilst only scoring five times, the xG statistics show they should have actually scored 11.5. They are creating plenty of chances and just need a little more composure and luck in front of goal.
🎯Fulham offensive stats: Jiménez to help shot shy Fulham?
Fulham themselves have only scored five Premier League goals this season and it’s easy to see why. Silva’s side are currently bottom of the shooting statistics having only registered 56 shots, the league’s lowest, hitting the target only 18 times with only Burnley and Luton fairing worse in this metric.
If things are to improve for Fulham in the final third, it’s likely to come from Raul Jiménez. The Mexican is responsible for two of Fulham’s efforts on target and is averaging two shots per game. Although he’s yet to score in the Premier League, he did hit three for Mexico during the international break.
Jiménez is likely to be flanked by Brazilian duo Willian and Andreas Pereira, both of whom could have an impact on proceedings having contributed 9 goals and 11 assists between them last season. Harry Wilson may get an opportunity and has a 42% shots to shots on target conversion, with 3 of his 7 efforts testing the goalkeeper this season.
🎯 Chelsea offensive stats: Can Mudryk finally come good?
With Nicolas Jackson ruled out through suspension having already collected 5 yellow cards, Pochettino will look to the likes of Raheem Sterling and Mykhailo Mudryk to provide the attacking threat going forward. Mudryk in particular will be looking for an upturn in form.
Sterling has been one of the only shining lights for Chelsea this campaign. The forward has already scored twice and is averaging over two shots per game, hitting the target four times in his six games so far and he’ll certainly fancy his chances running at 35-year-old Tim Ream in the Fulham back line.
In contrast, despite seeing glimpses of brilliance, Mudryk has failed to live up to his heavy price tag and has so far only registered two shots this season, none of which hit the target. There is a feeling the Ukrainian will come good and this could just be the game to ignite his Chelsea career.
🛑 Fulham defensive stats: Tete to be in the mix for fouls?
Tim Robinson has been chosen to officiate just his fifth game of the season and we could see a few cards as a result. The former PE teacher has dished out 21 cards so far, an average of over 4 per game, 11 of which came in two Premier League fixtures he’s overseen.
Kenny Tete faces a late fitness test but could be one that finds his way into the notebook if he starts. The full back is likely to face the tricky Mudryk and is a constant at the top of the fouls charts, averaging 1.4 per game. Tete is also heavily fouled himself, drawing an average of 1.2 this campaign.
Antonee Robison could also face problems against Sterling cutting in on the opposite flank. In fact, the whole Fulham back line is susceptible to bringing down their opponents as Issa Diop and Ream, along with the full backs, have already collected 8 cards between them so far this season.
🛑 Chelsea defensive stats: Gallagher to provide midfield bite?
Conor Gallagher has become a regular under the management of Pochettino and the combative midfielder is always at the heart of the action in the centre of the park. A West London derby should have the Englishman really fired up, so expect plenty of challenges and competitive spirit.
Gallagher tops the charts for fouls this season for his side, committing 10 across his 6 Premier League matches, that’s an average of nearly two per game. He also draws fouls himself, an average of at least one per game, and there are a couple of interesting battles to watch in this encounter.
Likely to come up against Portuguese midfielder, Joao Palhinha, who also ranks highly for fouls, there could be a few tasty tackles flying in. Don’t rule out Enzo Fernandez getting stuck in either. The World Cup winner has been involved in 17 fouls this campaign and has collected two yellows.
