Fuelled by a passion for sport and a sharp instinct for uncovering patterns in data, beating the bookies became the perfect outlet for my competitive streak. Now I take pleasure in sharing my finds with ABC punters. I enjoy finding niche angles and betting value in a range of markets and leagues, my favourite being in Serie A.

With Inter beginning to pull away in the Scudetto race, Atalanta and Juventus will both recognise the Coppa Italia as a route to potential silverware.

The Bianconeri have won the competition a record 15 times, but face a tough trip to Bergamo on Wednesday.

📈 Atalanta v Juventus Form & Tactics

Atalanta look a much-improved side under Raffaele Palladino, but for the first time during his tenure, have fallen short of expectations in recent weeks. Their confident 4-0 win against Parma remains Atalanta’s sole victory over their last five, joined by domestic stalemates against Pisa and Como, and consecutive Champions League defeats at the hands of Athletic Bilbao and USG. For context, La Dea had claimed all three points in nine of their 11 games prior to that stretch.

Up until their most recent clash with Como, Atalanta’s underlying numbers had remained convincing; yet those figures turned very sour after Ahanor’s 8th-minute red card saw them reduced to 10 men. Palladino’s men conceded 12 big chances and over 5xG, yet somehow managed to keep the scoreline at 0-0 until the final whistle.

The Bianconeri’s meeting with Parma was similarly eventful, as Juventus propelled themselves into the top four with a dominant 4-1 win, courtesy of an unlikely brace from Bremer. Following his dismal start to life in Italy, Jonathan David also bagged a goal, taking his total to seven goal contributions across his last six starts.

Since Luciano Spalletti’s arrival, Juventus have avoided defeat in 18 of their 20 matches across all competitions, and having managed wins in eight of their last 11, they’re certainly a force to be reckoned with.
