KFUM Oslo v Bodo/Glimt Best Bets
The worst home team in the Eliteserien faces the team with the best away record, so let’s keep things simple by taking Bodo Glimt to win. This could look like a very big price come the end of the game, even if it probably won’t be a stroll in the park for the visitors.
You cannot ignore the fact that Glimt seem to be playing their best football on the road and they may just be starting to fire again after a couple of impressive wins in recent weeks. KFUM Oslo have been punching above their weight magnificently so far this campaign, but let’s not forget they are a newly-promoted team who lack comparable quality on paper.
There should be a sizable gulf in class between the two teams. That didn’t show in the previous meeting, but their 2-2 draw in May should mean that Glimt will be forced to take KFUM more seriously than they perhaps did the first time around. Kjetil Knudsen’s men should get the three points even if they are made to work extremely hard, and their price for the win is simply too good to pass up here.

📊 KFUM Oslo Form and Stats
Newly promoted KFUM have been one of the big shocks of the season and find themselves as high as sixth in the table. They have just won consecutive away matches at Tromso and Molde so should be in a very confident mood heading into this fixture. KFUM Oslo have been outstanding away from home, registering five out of eight wins with their counter-attacking style suiting playing on the road well.
However, their home record has been surprisingly poor. Statistically, they have the worst home record of any team in the Eliteserien with four draws, three defeats and no wins. Some of their early home matches were played at a neutral venue, the Intility Arena in Oslo which is Valerenga’s home ground.
They’ve been back at their own KFUM Arena for the last five games, but results have not improved. They must also cope with the loss of one of their key players so far this season, attacker Petter Nosa Dahl. Ironically, Dahl was on loan from Bodo/Glimt but has now been sold to Belgian side Mechelen. Losing him is a big blow for KFUM.
📊 Bodo/Glimt Form and Stats
The defending champions are top of the Eliteserien table by a six-point margin after beating Odds BK 3-1 last week. They have not been at their best for a while but other teams around them have been dropping points which has eased the pressure.
Bodo/Glimt recently beat Latvian side RFS 4-0 in Champions League qualifying to further boost their morale. With that tie now looking secure, they can focus entirely on this fixture. Glimt have the best away record in the Eliteserien with six out of eight wins but did suffer a shock 2-1 defeat recently at Sandefjord.
The visitors have the highest-scoring attack and best defensive record in the league. Their xG and xGA numbers are also very strong, so they should be confident heading into this one.
⚔️ KFUM Oslo v Bodo/Glimt Head-to-Head
The two teams faced each other at the end of May and the match resulted in a surprising 2-2 draw at Aspmyra Stadion. That is the only ever previous head-to-head meeting between the two sides and KFUM Oslo equipped themselves well on that occasion.
Despite being as high as 9/1 to win on the day, they came from behind to lead 2-1 and outshot Bodo/Glimt nine to six. They also out-cornered their high-profile opponents 5-1 and had 49% possession.
KFUM Oslo were the better team on the day and may even consider themselves unfortunate to have conceded a 75th-minute equaliser which meant they had to share the spoils.
