KFUM Oslo Double Chance

KFUM Oslo can be awkward opponents and enjoy being underdogs. They managed to hold Brann to a 0-0 draw here last season and have found some form recently which might indicate they are generously priced in the draw double chance market at 1.57. KFUM have a decent xGA of 1.36 per game so should be able to stay close. Brann had a big win last week but have not been at their best away from home this season and it is not always easy to back up a significant result the next week

Both Teams to Score

This match resulted in a 0-0 draw last season but the stats suggest that both sides have not been keeping as many clean sheets as they’d like to this year. KFUM Oslo only have three and those came against Ham Kam, Stromsgodset and Haugesund who are all struggling in the lower reaches of the table. Brann also only have three clean sheets and the only time they shut out a side away was vs rock bottom Haugesund. This might not be an overly high scoring game but the 1-1 scoreline is very possible and with KFUM’s recent upturn in scoring goals, BTTS yes looks a generous price at 1.70.

  • KFUM Oslo have found some form and are unbeaten in five straight games

  • Brann have the 3rd best xG per game in the Eliteserien this year (1.80)

  • Brann only have the 8th best away record in the league

  • Key Brann striker Aune Heggebo has recently been sold to West Brom

Brann claimed a vital victory last week against title rivals Viking. They now travel to an in-form KFUM Oslo side who are unbeaten in five games. Brann are the 235 favourites with KFUM a 2.90 underdog and the draw priced at 3.30.

🔴 KFUM Finding Form After Poor Start

KFUM Oslo started the season with just one win in their first nine games, and it looked like a second-year slump was on the cards after their promotion to the Eliteserien in 2024. They have since found some strong form, though, and are now unbeaten in five games with three victories in that period. The fixture list has been kinder to them, but impressive 5-0 wins vs Godset and a 3-2 success at Molde show they are moving in the right direction.

From a metrics perspective, KFUM have their strength at the back with an average xGA per game of just 1.36, which is the fifth best in the league. Their 19 goals conceded in 13 games is the best of any team in the bottom half. KFUM have improved their goalscoring recently, partly due to the fact that key striker Johannes Nunez has returned to fitness. He now has three goals and five assists this season but KFUM have one of the lowest average xGs per game at 1.28.

🔵 Key Victory Gets Brann Back in the Title Race

Brann comfortably beat top of the table Viking 3-1 last week and are now only six points off the top of the table with a game in hand. They are bang in the title race, but there are two issues of concern. The first is their away record, which is mixed and only the 8th best in the Eliteserien. Secondly, Brann might have their eye upon the upcoming Champions League qualifying tie against RB Salzburg, which comes in just a few days time.

Brann have strong underlying metrics averaging 1.80 xG per game, which is the 3rd best in the league. At the other end of the field, they’ve shown decent defensive numbers too, with the third-best xGA figures at 1.28 per match. They are the third highest scoring team in the league but just lost top striker Aune Heggebo to West Brom for £5.5m. He netted seven league goals this season and now Bard Finne is taking his place upfront.

📊 KFUM Oslo vs SK Brann H2H

Brann have won three of the last four meetings, two of which came in the second tier in 2022. Last season this fixture resulted in a 0-0 draw and Brann won the other game 2-0. Brann were reduced to 10 men in this match last year after just half an hour. They only managed 4 shots with 1 on target in the whole fixture. Just two corners were registered in the game as well.
