They created just 0.17 xG in that match, and although this number was better at 0.85 xG against Wigan on opening day, they were well beaten that day.
They will be hoping to get something positive out of this cup tie to fire their season into life.

It is only sensible for a new manager to want to take a look at as many players as possible in competitive matches early in their reign, and an EFL Cup match against lower league opposition provides the perfect opportunity to do that.
Whilst this used to mean that the League One club should have a strong chance to progress when playing against 'the kids', squad strength in the Championship has progressed to the point that Tuesday's starting XI for Southampton is still going to be incredibly strong for the level.
