Matchday 3 of the Champions League group stages is now upon us and I will be focusing on a big game in Group A between French giants PSG and German Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig this evening. It is turning out to be quite a tight group with Club Brugge punching above their weight so far as the Belgian side sit joint-top with PSG on 4 points. Man City sit 3rd with 3 points and then Leipzig sit bottom having lost both their games played so far. Strange situation at PSG who results-wise have made a fine start to both their league and Champions League campaigns but performances haven’t been all that convincing. They are however very strong at home and will expect to beat a Leipzig side short on confidence having made a poor start to both their league and Champions League campaigns. As ever, below are my four favourite Bet Builder tips for the game in Paris tonight. I have conducted my own research as well as referring to my Cheat Sheet and I fancy an entertaining game in the French capital this evening.
PSG v RB Leipzig Bet Builder tips
PSG to Win
I mentioned previously that in some ways it feels like PSG haven’t quite gotten into their stride yet this season. Despite that, they are already 9 points clear in Ligue 1 and lead Group A following their fantastic 2-0 win over Manchester City last time out. Ten wins from 12 in all competitions this term, Pochettino’s side firmly have the look of contenders for continental glory in the Champions League. Worth also mentioning they are exceptionally strong at home. All six games they have played at the Parc des Princes this season have ended in victory and they have lost just one of their previous 28 Champions League group stages at home prior to tonight. They are an incredibly strong team and no surprise to me to see them as joint-favourites alongside City and Bayern Munich to win the Champions League this season. Should have more than enough to get the 3 points tonight which will put them in the driving seat to top the group.

Over 2.5 Goals in PSG v RB Leipzig
Goals are a clear standout in this one. I mentioned that PSG have won all 6 of their home games this season- they scored at least 2 goals in each of those 6 wins which is a strong starting point. Although Neymar is absent, the likes of Messi, Mbappe and Draxler are still tipped to start in an extremely strong forward line. Likewise, Leipzig are blessed with quality forward talent. Expect to see the likes of Emil Forsberg, Christopher Nkunku and Youssouf Poulsen tonight. Over 2.5 goals have been scored in 9 of the last 11 games PSG have played at home and with a talented Leipzig side coming to town, I can’t see this one being short on goalmouth action.

Christopher Nkunku to have 1+ Shot on Target v PSG
One man I am sure PSG regret letting leave the club is Christpher Nkunku. The Frenchman is fast becoming one of the hottest properties in European football such have been the quality of his performances in recent months. Nine goals and 4 assists in just 11 games this season show the sort of form he is in and he will be very keen to impress against his former club. As you can see from the Cheat Sheet, he ranks the highest of any Leipzig player in the shots market where he averages 1.35 shots on target per game from the 2.97 shots he attempts. Nkunku such have been his goalscoring exploits this season actually finds himself level with Robert Lewandowski in the early-season Champions League scoring charts with four goals. Fancy him to impress tonight and he looks the best value pick for a shot on target this evening.

Marco Verratti to be Booked v RB Leipzig
Only one man to look to for a card isn’t there? That is of course midfield magician Marco Verratti. He is an absolutely fantastic footballer as he proved once more this summer as he helped spearhead the Italians to the European Championships. He is however something of a nutcase and I have never, ever seen a man who loves a slide tackle as much as he does! At just 5 foot 4, I think he is always keen to show he can compete in midfield and a lot of the time that means absolutely nailing his opposite number. Four yellow cards in 5 appearances this season and a career total of 126 yellow cards despite being just 28 years of age is mightily impressive. Unsurprisingly he ranks the highest for cards in the PSG squad with 3 picked up in the league already and with his direct opponent likely to be Nkunku who is one of the most fouled players in the Leipzig squad, he looks a prime candidate for a caution this evening!
