Priced at 1.80 with bet365 and as short as 1.10 with Paddy Power and Betfair (an implied 90.9% likelihood), this line for Elliot Anderson to fire off just one shot looks significantly mispriced.

Despite operating in a deeper role, Anderson is far from a holding midfielder. His technical quality, ball-carrying ability and intelligence in advanced areas make him more of a box-to-box presence, often breaking lines of defence. This is reflected in his shot numbers. 

For Nottingham Forest last season, Anderson averaged 1.31 shots per 90, hitting at least once in seven of his final nine appearances of the season. This term, he has maintained that consistency, with 1.33 shots per 90 so far.

His international record adds further confidence. At the U21 Euros, he managed at least one effort in four of England’s six matches, and even on his senior debut against Andorra at the weekend, Anderson registered a shot, one that hit the target too.

That kind of instinct translates well into England’s system under Tuchel, where the double pivots are encouraged to push forward and take responsibility around the final third.

For context, in England’s last meeting with Serbia, Trent Alexander-Arnold was used in a very similar way (albeit under different management), but it still highlights how that space can be exploited by technically gifted midfielders, such as Anderson.

At 1.80, this line feels significantly overpriced. Add the fact that we get Sub On Play On with bet365, which Paddy Power and Betfair aren't offering for the match, and this looks like an excellent bet.

There’s another angle of value to be found, sticking with the shooting markets. Noni Madueke to register two is priced at 1.66 with bet365, compared to as short as 1.14 with Paddy Power (an implied 87.7% likelihood).

For Chelsea last season, Madueke still averaged 3.52 shots per 90 in the Premier League. That consistency translates directly onto the international stage, where across his eight caps, he is averaging 3.4 shots per 90.

He has cleared this line in six of those eight appearances. It’s also worth noting the two games where he didn’t clear this line, he played 21 minutes or fewer in the game. He's set to start against Serbia.

With his direct, attacking style and a likely starting role, Madueke is exactly the type of player who won’t shy away from pulling the trigger. Factor in the price disparity (bet365’s 59.9% implied probability versus Paddy Power’s 87.7%) and the value here becomes even more apparent.
