Their recent home wins over Shrewsbury and West Ham will have provided some much needed positivity around the place, but prior to these wins, they had lost six consecutive home matches in all competitions.

Newcastle have won three league matches on the spin and despite their imperfect away record, they should have the quality to win here.

They have secured some impressive upsets in that run, beating both Arsenal and Man City, highlighting just how dangerous they are on home turf. Villa have fared well in this head-to-head matchup against Everton over the years, winning seven of the last 10 encounters. It finished 3-2 when these sides last met at Villa Park, as Ollie Watkins scored a brace to complete an impressive comeback. The hosts dominated proceedings, with 17 shots and six big chances, worth 2.12xG.
