Level 1 Bet Builder Tip

🥅 Over 2.5 Goals

📈 Odds: 1.44

Celtic are on a 10 match run in which their Premiership games have produced at least three goals. Over this period, the Hoops’ games have brought 48 strikes at both ends, working out at 4.8 per game.

The Hoops have scored three goals themselves in eight of these fixtures, indicating there is unlikely to be a reliance on St Johnstone scoring to trigger this figure. Rodgers’ side have been weaker defensively in recent games, in any case. Their clean sheet against Hearts last weekend ended a four game run in which they had conceded at least once.

Although St Johnstone have failed to score in either of their last two games, the Perth Saints had netted at least one in their previous nine league games prior – including away to Rangers. Two previous head-to-head meetings between the two sides this season have brought 10 goals, all to Celtic.

🚩 Over 8 Corners

📈 Odds: 1.30

Celtic have been excellent this season when it has come to winning corner kicks. They lead the Scottish Premiership with 8.71 corners won per game on average, including a very healthy 7.6 on their travels.

St Johnstone are likely to concede a high corner count. The home side have given up 7.13 at home on average – the highest figure in this regard in the Scottish Premiership this season.

Celtic have had no issues winning corners against St Johnstone previously this season, picking up 25 across their two previous meetings. The Hoops’ matches this season average 11.77 corners per game, the second highest figure in the whole league behind only Ross County, while St Johnstone’s figure in this regard is 10.35.

🥅 Celtic (-1 Handicap)

📈 Odds: 1.50

Celtic are the dominant force in the Scottish Premiership and have underlined this in their previous couple of fixtures against St Johnstone, winning 6-0 in Perth earlier this season before claiming a 4-0 victory back in Glasgow.

Historically, they have a very dominant record in this fixture. They have won five of the last six against St Johnstone, dating back to December 2022, by at least two goals, while the other game ended scoreless at Celtic Park.

Brendan Rodgers’ side have picked up 25 league victories so far this season, and only two of these have not come by at least two goals. The latest of these back way back on 4th December away in Aberdeen. Each of their last 12 matches has been won by multiple goals. When St Johnstone have lost lately, they have had a tendency to lose big. Across their last six league defeats, five of these have been by at least two goals.

Daizen Maeda to Score Anytime ↔️

📈 Odds: 1.80

Maeda is the most in-form player in the Scottish Premiership currently and will feel optimistic about finding the net in this fixture. He has scored in each of his last eight Premiership starts and has netted 11 times across this period.

Although he was taken off midway through the second half last weekend against Hearts, he had already done his job by scoring twice. It was the first time he was replaced before the 80th minute in a Premiership match since 7th December, showing that when he starts, he typically goes the duration.

Excellent record against St Johnstone. He has scored in both previous clashes against the Perth side this season, despite only coming off the bench for a 23-minute cameo in the previous meeting, which came days before an Old Firm game.

Level 2 Bet Builder Tip

🥅 Over 2.5 Celtic Goals

📈 Odds: 1.72

Celtic have been electric in front of goal this season, scoring 92 goals in 31 games – an average of 2.97 per game. This figure has increased considerably in recent weeks. Brendan Rodgers has seen his team net at least three goals in eight of their last 10 Premiership matches. Extending this run further, they have scored at least three in 15 of their last 19.

St Johnstone have been a favourite opponent of the Hoops this season. The Perth outfit have conceded 10 times to Celtic across the two meetings of the clubs. Simo Valakari’s side have conceded an alarming 57 goals this season, which is the worst record in the league with the exception of Dundee (67).

Celtic have scored at least three times in each of their last four matches against St Johnstone, plus in six of their last seven. All of these encounters have taken played in the space of 2.5 years.

🚩 Over 7.5 Celtic Corners

📈 Odds: 2.20

Celtic are prolific when it comes to winning corners and are likely to be so again in this encounter, given that they will expect to dominate the game.

In the previous matches this season between the clubs, they have controlled more than 70% of the ball. This has manifested itself in a big corner count, with 13 won the last time they travelled to Perth as well as 12 picked up when playing at home. Over the course of the season as a whole, they have averaged 8.71 corners per match, while on their travels they have earned 7.6 per game.

St Johnstone have the poorest record in the league when it comes to giving away corners at home, conceding 7.13 per game. Look for that to tick upwards when they host the Premiership’s specialists as generating these situations.

Daizen Maeda to Score 2+ Goals ↔️

📈 Odds: 4.50

Maeda comes into this match in red-hot form. His goal tally of 15 for the season in the Premiership is relatively average given he plays for the league’s most dominant club, but he has been electric in 2025. He has scored in eight successive starts.

The Japan international has two goals in three of his last six starts in the Premiership, having failed to register a single double for Celtic previously in his Parkhead career. Seems to be flourishing since compatriot Kyogo Furuhashi departed and left the offensive spotlight on him. He boasts a strong record against St Johnstone this season and has scored two goals against the Perth club in 113 minutes of action.

Has played 89 minutes or more in seven of his last eight starts, while he was only withdrawn with 20 minutes left last weekend against Hearts because the match was already won and he had already scored twice.
