Level 1 Bet Builder Tip
🏈 Darnell Mooney 50+ Receiving Yards
📈 Odds: 2.70
One of my favourite things to say about the NFL offseason is that money talks, and I think Darnell Mooney will be proof of that after signing a 3-year, 39-million-dollar contract this offseason. People forget this is a guy with a 1,000-yard season under his belt, but tons of bad quarterback play and very limited passing volume really hurt his ability to produce. He moves from catching passes from Justin Fields, someone who primarily wanted to run, versus Kirk Cousins who is one of the higher-volume pocket passers in the league.
Additionally, his competition is pretty limited, especially with Kyle Pitts now dealing with a hamstring injury. Drake London definitely profiles as a strong lead option, but at this point in his career is very unproven. Outside of him, Ray Ray McLoud looks to be their third option, who profiles as a gadget player in short-yardage situations. Mooney has possessed an average depth of target of above 10 yards for most of his career, and I expect him to be a good downfield option this week.
🏈 Najee Harris 80+ Rushing Yards
📈 Odds: 3.40
In Najee Harris’ first 3 seasons, he has run for 3 consecutive 1000+ yard seasons yet the narrative around him seems to be negative. Despite some solid success, Harris has worked behind a below-average offensive line for most of his career and the Steelers have finally improved that line where this should be the best unit he’s ever run behind. Losing Diontae Johnson and adding Russell Wilson doesn’t exactly make me confident that this team plans to pass the ball much this year.
He also now gets the perfect coaching staff with Arthur Smith coming over from Atlanta, where he averaged 31.8 rush attempts per game over the last two seasons. Smith has made his love for running the ball known to the world, and Atlanta should have a tough time stopping the two-headed monster of Harris and Warren.

Level 2 Bet Builder Tip
🏈 George Pickens Anytime TD Scorer
📈 Odds: 3.50
I’m not the biggest believer in this Steelers’ passing offense, but having the only viable receiver at +220 seems kind of insane to me. One of my favourite things to look at for receiver touchdowns is guys who can produce both inside and outside the red zone. Pickens is known for his deep play ability, but his huge frame also gives him a good chance for those end zone 50/50 balls.
The receiver room behind Pickens leaves a lot to be desired. Roman Wilson is a rookie out of Michigan who missed some camp with injuries, Van Jefferson is a re-tread who hasn’t produced despite better opportunities in LA, and Calvin Austin is more of a special teams punt returner.
🏈 Tyler Allgeier Anytime TD Scorer
📈 Odds: 3.75
While it would crush me as a Bijan Robinson fantasy owner, the talk around town is that Allgeier will once again be poised for an important role with the Falcons. Despite playing behind one of the best young prospects in football, Allgeier has proved himself to be a formidable second option on the young Falcons roster.
While Bijan is an absolute monster in space, we saw Allgeier tend to be more involved in short-yardage and goal-line work last year, and I see that role continuing with the new staff. He excelled in efficiency metrics as well, posting top 10 grades against 8+ man-stacked boxes, which is exactly what he’d see in the red zone. When offensive coordinator Zach Robinson was asked about him this week he said “Certainly, Tyler’s gonna have a big role. And, certainly — at certain points of the season — we’re gonna be leaning on him.”
