Wolves faced a similar tie in Round 3 of the FA Cup, going away to a top half Championship side in Bristol City and winning 2-1.

Blackburn are only 3 points better than Bristol City and have played a game more, whilst the xG data has them as a worse side.

Wolves put out a strong side that day and we can’t see any reason that they wouldn’t do the same here. A similar performance will see them through to Round 5.

Whilst Plymouth have managed to achieve 2 good results on the bounce, drawing away at Sunderland and beating WBA, there’s not much in the data which suggests a massive uptick in performance.

It was only 2.5 weeks ago that Burnley, a side who averaged 1 goal per game up until facing Plymouth, were 5-0 up at half time.

Plymouth face Liverpool on Sunday, the best team in the country, and while they are likely to rotate from Thursdays win over Spurs, we can still expect the likes of Luis Diaz, Diogo Jota and Alexis MacAllister to start. Similar lineups scored 2 against PSV, 4 against Accrington and 3 against Brighton.

We expect this to be a rout, so getting odds against for the -2 seems a gift.

Unai Emery has had 8 days to prepare this side to take on a Tottenham team who have played twice since then.

Spurs have played 12 games in 34 days with an injury ravaged squad. It’s not really surprising that they’re struggling to compete on a game to game basis.

Villa are not in great form themselves, with just 1 win from their last 5 against a Celtic side who gifted them goals. This however is the first time they’ve had a week to prepare for a game since mid-December, and Unai Emery has a great record in knockout football. We fancy them to inflict more misery in Spurs and knock them out of two cups in 3 days.
