1️⃣ Wimbledon Quarter-Finals Super Single

Fixtures for: Tuesday 8th July

Taylor Fritz v Karen Khachanov

Wimbledon

13:00

Fritz to Win, Serve the Most Aces, and the Match to Not Go Five Sets

This is a bit of a change from previous single bets, it is actually a bet builder within a single match.

We like the chances of Taylor Fritz in getting past Karen Khachanov. The American looks in his best ever form at Wimbledon, he has fired down more aces than anyone else this tournament, whereas Khachanov is averaging approximately 3 aces per set at Wimbledon so far.

More than just his service though, Fritz looks really solid but aggressive from the baseline. He is stubbornly refusing to give that baseline up and relying on his tennis skill and reflexes to do the damage, and that is giving his opponents less time to deal with  his returns and groundstrokes.

Khachanov always seems to be there or thereabouts, but the draw has opened up for him to this point and this is going to be a step too far for him once more. He was pushed to five sets by Nuno Borges and Shintaro Mochizuki, he had a good draw in the fourth round with Kamil Majchrzak. One has to worry that he isn’t perhaps ready for this step up in class.

🗒️ 3/1 Wimbledon Quarter-Finals Double Tips

The following acca is equipped with bet365's Winning Boost, the boost makes bet365 the best-priced bookie for our day 9 accumulator.

Fixtures for: Tuesday 8th July

Arevalo/Pavic v Nys/Roger-Vasselin

Wimbledon

11:00

Arevalo/Pavic to Win

This is the most solid of the doubles bets in the quarter-finals to our eye. Despite Nys/Roger-Vasselin winning this exact match-up in the French Open doubles, Arevalo and Pavic have looked in really good form at this Wimbledon. They have yet to drop a set in the tournament, and, prior to that loss at Roland-Garros they had won four straight sets against the Nys/Roger-Vasselin partnership this year.

In this case, it is potentially a good thing that Arevalo/Pavic missed out against Nys/Roger-Vasselin in Paris, it should lead them not to underestimate them here.

The Nys/Roger-Vasselin partnership hadn’t been in flying form ahead of the tournament either. They had lost three times in four ahead of Wimbledon but have settled into the tournament well, however, losing to wildcards David Stevenson and Marcus Willis in Queens is not the most inspiring form.

Siniakova/Townsend v Babos/Stefani

Wimbledon

11:00

Siniakova/Townsend to Win

This is a repeat of the French Open fourth round clash from last month. That match was probably tighter than was expected, but Siniakova/Townsend came through in three sets. They managed to break their opponents four times in the match, but there is reason to believe that the grass probably suits the top seeds even more in this match-up.

Siniakova had a good couple of singles performances in the main draw here which have set her up nicely for her doubles event. Taylor Townsend’s serve/volley game is perfectly set up for this tournament as well.

Siniakova hasn’t actually lost a doubles match at Wimbledon since the quarter-final in 2021, she won in 2022 with Barbora Krejcikova and in 2024 with Townsend, whilst she was absent for the 2023 tournament. It would be a shock if they were to miss out again here.

Cameron Norrie v Carlos Alcaraz

Wimbledon

15:00

Carlos Alcaraz to Win 3-0

The shot making masterclass that Carlos Alcaraz and Andrey Rublev produced under the roof on Centre Court on Sunday evenng was one of the most dynamic ever seen at Wimbledon. This came almost directly after a dramatic Cameron Norrie victory in five sets over Nicolas Jarry, Norrie’s celebrations after match point showed just how much effort the Briton had put into the match and the relief of getting over the line was palpable.

Norrie doesn’t actually have the worst record over Alcaraz. The left-hander has beaten the Spaniard twice, including in their last meeting in the final of the Rio ATP500 tournament in 2023. However, remembering watching that final, Alcaraz was actually heavily compromised by an injury, and under most circumstances would probably have retired.

Also, we are over two years further down the line from that last meeting. Norrie has fallen down the rankings, and Alcaraz has fully established himself at the top of the game. Alcaraz looks fairly imperious on the grass, having now won 18 consecutive matches at Wimbledon, and 22 in a row on tour, and it is difficult to see where Norrie can best him.

Amanda Anisimova v Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova

Wimbledon

15:00

Amanda Anisimova to Win

This Anisimova run had been on the cards. She made an excellent run to the final of Queen’s, she won a WTA1000 tournament earlier this year, and is inside the top 10 in the 2025 WTA Race. There was a clear change in confidence, and, perhaps, readiness, for a deep Grand Slam run.

For Pavlyuchenkova it is a bit more difficult to explain how this has occurred. The veteran did reach the quarter-finals in Australia this season, and she is clearly targeting the bigger tournaments now, but her Wimbledon record has been fairly modest, with a 15-15 win/loss record at SW19, indeed she actually has an overall losing record on grass throughout her career.

Both players can be very inconsistent and streaky, and if one of the players gets on a roll then the match could move very quickly. At the moment, we have more trust in the floor of Anisimova being higher and that should give her more chances of reaching the semi-finals here.
