Littler is the number two seed and has won the last two rounds of the World Series - he has also won four of his last five tournaments.

He's drawn against Simon Whitlock in the first round, I expect him to overcome the Wizard and build from there.

Littler has won the last two rounds of the World Series in Australia and New Zealand, but he was a bit slow to get going in both, beating Houpal Puha 6–5 with an average of 91.8 in Australia in round one, and beating Mark Cleaver 6–4 with an average of 95.6 in New Zealand in round one - both of the matches were more of a grind than his usual flowing dominance. 

But, he continues to get the job done and always seems to have that little bit extra when he needs it. At Flanders on August 31st saw him win his fourth title in five tournaments, with an 8-7 win over another form player in Josh Rock.

He showed again that he is currently the best player in the world, with Luke Humphries struggling by his ultra-high standards. When Littler gets going, there is currently nobody who can stop him.

Rock is unseeded here, but has performed well of late and has been consistent during August. He narrowly lost to Gerwyn Price in New Zealand in the final round, 6–5, having missed a match dart.

Rock just keeps on getting better and better, and must now be considered one of the elites. Despite his unseeded status here, his recent performances must make him a contender.

He's drawn against Krzysztof Ratajski in the first round. Rocks’ record of nine wins against two for Krzysztof points to a win here for Josh, and following this, anything is possible, and I expect him to go a long way.

He gave Luke Littler a tough match in the final in Flanders, losing by the odd leg in 15. Rock also beat both James Wade and Stephen Bunting on his way to that final, so nobody will relish a draw against him.

His form has been steadily on the increase since winning the World Cup with Daryl Gurney. 

Bunting is the number one seed for the tournament, primarily due to a very consistent campaign, with two wins early on.

He faces a tough draw against local favourite Danny Noppert in the first round, but I expect him to continue his form in Amsterdam and be amongst it at the final stages. He played consistently well during August and could take full advantage of his Number 1one seeding here.

I fully expect any battle between him and any of the top players to go the distance, and he just needs to hit a few more doubles to get into the winner's circle again.

His performances at both the Players and Flanders indicate that this is improving, and his doubling stats (32nd ranked) are improving, too.

Bunting lost narrowly to Josh Rock at Flanders in the Euro Tour event on 31st August, but again, showed how well he is playing right now.

Clayton is unseeded here, but he can never be overlooked. He narrowly lost to Stephen Bunting in the last Players Championship 6–8 in the final, and showed some impressive form, beating both Martin Schindler and Krzysztof Ratajski along the way.

He's drawn against Jason Brandon here, who is not really coming into this tournament with any form to lean on, so expect Clayton to progress and gain some confidence as a result.

When Clayton is on form, his doubling is awesome, and with his experience, nerves are not going to affect him.

He comprehensively beat Stephen Bunting in the Matchplay and Josh Rock on the European Tour in July, and has consistently been averaging over 100 in the last couple of months, with a peak of 110.87 in the win against Ratajski.

The Ferret is a fighter and at number eight in the world, looks good value at these odds. Clayton is just the sort of player who can spring a surprise.
