Man United face a trip to the capital to take on Oliver Glasner’s Crystal Palace on Saturday evening. Palace, after a shaky start to the season, are unbeaten in four, including a draw at Chelsea and two EFL Cup victories.
The Red Devils head into the match after a 7-0 thumping of Barnsley in midweek, which backed up their 3-0 rout of newly promoted Southampton at the weekend.
Crystal Palace vs Manchester United Best Bets
➡️ Over 2.5 goals + Both teams to score @ 1.67 on Betfair
➡️ Daniel Munoz to commit 2+ fouls @ 1.91 on Betfair
It’s hard to look past goals for this game. The Eagles under Glasner have averaged 3.18 goals with both teams scoring in 10. They set up to get the most out of Eberechi Eze who is averaging 3.65 shots per 90 minutes so far this season. They also get plenty of crosses into the box with wings backs Tyrick Mitchell and Daniel Kamada both registering over four crosses per game. Whilst Palace have had more touches of the ball inside the opposition penalty area than Villa, Forest, Chelsea and Newcastle.
With Eddie Nketiah now part of the ranks, we should see a very attacking line up with Eze, Jean-Philippe Mateta alongside Nketiah in attack supported by Adam Wharton and Cheick Doucoure.
With United’s poor defensive numbers under Ten Hag, I am not sure I see them keeping their fourth away clean sheet in 15 games. Utd will also have plenty of attacking talent on the pitch. They have found the net in 11 of their last 13 away games. If we excluded games against Arsenal and Liverpool, then Utd have scored in their 21 of their last 22 games. The Red Devils have generated 5.44 xG scoring five goals this season with their only blank against Liverpool when they created 1.19 xG. Their last 21 away Premier League games have seen 64 goals, an average of 2.95.
I want to get with goals in this game and happy to take over 2.5 goals and both teams to score at 1.67 with Betfair. This bet has landed in eight of United’s last 12 away days.
The second bet I want to get involved in is with Daniel Munoz. Munoz will be up against Rashford and Dalot and he should struggle with their pace. This season he has already committed six fouls in his four games whilst he made four fouls the last time these two sides met back in May. Last season Munoz committed 30 fouls in 16 games for Palace. A foul every 48 minutes. Rashford has played a total of 316 minutes this season and has been fouled every 79 minutes, whilst full back Dalot has also been fouled four times in his four starts this season.
We can back Daniel Munoz to commit 2+ fouls at 1.91 with Betfair.

📊 Crystal Palace Form and Stats
The Eagles are yet to win a game this season with W0-D2-L2 with both teams scoring in three of their four games. Under Glasner they have now won seven of his 17 games in charge with an average of 3.18 goals per fixture. Their home record is strong with W5-D2-L2 with one these defeats coming when welcoming Man City.
Over the nine home games und Glasner they have scored at least two goals in seven and over 2.5 match goals have landed six. So far this season I have them 12th on xPTS and 15th in non-penalty xG ratio.
They were unfortunate against Brentford as they lost 2-1 but won the xG 1.52 vs 0.77 and the shot count. The defeat by West Ham was also unlucky as the game was tight, with the Hammers edging the xG 1.08 vs 1.05 and then the Eagles should have beaten Leicester as they generated 1.62 vs 1.18 having 21 shots to the Foxes 9.
📊 Manchester United Form and Stats
Utd have struggled again this season for consistency. There have been moments of good play and organisation and other moments of poor defensive decision making and a lack of cohesion. So far this term they have beaten Southampton and Fulham and lost to both Brighton and Liverpool. Saints were the better team until the penalty miss which changed the game and Utd took control.
Utd’s away record with Erik ten Hag has been poor with 17 wins and 17 losses. Last term their away record was W8-D3-L8 keeping just four clean sheets and conceding an average of 1.58 goals per 90 minutes. Against the top half on the road, it was W1-D1-L7. Palace finished 10th last season.
My rankings have Utd in 9th on xPTS and 12th on non-penalty xG, so performing as midtable side, although over a small sample. On the road, despite their return of just three points from two games, they performed well sitting 5th for shots in the box ratio and 6th for shots on target ratio.
⚔️ Crystal Palace vs Manchester United Head-to-Head
Palace have won the last two meetings between these sides without conceding a goal. Palace won 4-0 at Selhurst Park back in May as the Eagles dominated the game with 18 shots at goals it Utds seven and then 1-0 at Old Trafford.
Overall, Utd have had the upper hand, winning 10 of the last 20 games with Palace having just five victories. Over the last six Premier League games there have been very few goals between these two with an average of just 2.0 although it’s been a feisty affair with an average of 4.17 cards with Palace averaging 2.5 cards per 90 minutes against Utd. Both sides have collected at least two cards each in four of the last six meetings.
Dalot has made an average of 1.64 fouls against Palace, making at least one foul in four of these last five matches against them. Rashford has averaged 2.86 shots from his eight games against Palace, registering at least two shots in five. Bruno Fernandes has registered at least one shot in seven of his last eight games against them.
The last time these two sides faced each other, Daniel Munoz made five tackles and four fouls whilst Tyrick Mitchell has made 6 fouls over the last three games against Utd, committing at least two in each fixture.
