Everton v Leeds Bet Builder @ 4.07

Daniel Farke’s men have lost just one match in their last 10 across all competitions, in a run stretching back to the start of December. They have pulled off some impressive results in that period, beating both Crystal Palace and Chelsea, while also taking points from Liverpool (twice), and Sunderland. Their only defeat came against Newcastle at St James’ Park, but even still, the hosts required two stoppage-time goals, including a late dagger from Harvey Barnes in the 102nd minute.

Leeds were unfortunate to leave Tyneside empty-handed, but it just goes to show how strong they have been recently. The Whites won 1-0 against Everton in the reverse fixture, but that narrow scoreline didn’t do them justice. They racked up 21 shots and three big chances worth 2.13 xG, while conceding just seven shots from the Toffees in return.

David Moyes has to contend without several regular first team players for this clash, and he was dealt a massive blow last weekend. Jack Grealish picked up a foot injury, which is expected to keep him out of action for several weeks, joining Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall in the treatment room. Michael Keane is another notable absentee from the backline, as he will serve the third and final game of his suspension this weekend.

Because of that, Everton have looked less comfortable at the back in recent weeks, and Jordan Pickford has had plenty of work to do. The England international registered five crucial saves against Aston Villa last time out as his side held on to a 1-0 win at Villa Park. Pickford is averaging 2.76 saves per game this season and has landed this selection in each of his last five matches.

While Daniel Farke has a much smaller list of injuries to contend with, he still has a minor selection headache for this weekend. Jaka Bijol missed out against Fulham due to a hamstring strain, and the centre back is expected to be sidelined for at least a few weeks. James Justin confidently filled in at the back in Bijol’s absence against Fulham, and looks set to keep his spot alongside Joe Rodon and Pascal Struijk.

Justin should find duels against Thierno Barry, who looks set to lead the line for Everton. The 23-year-old is averaging 1.74 fouls per 90 across all competitions this season, and isn’t one to shy away from a duel. Barry is quite aggressive and can often be clumsy in his challenges, which bodes well for this selection. Justin is averaging 2.07 fouls drawn per 90 this season, hitting this mark in all five of his starts.

As some consolation for David Moyes, he will have Iliman Ndiaye and Idrissa Gueye available for selection this weekend, following their return from AFCON. Both players will have a spring in their step in the coming weeks, having secured the trophy with Senegal. They were key players for their side, starting most games, and Ndiaye contributed an important goal in the quarter-finals.

With Grealish out, Ndiaye can expect to be thrust straight back into the starting XI for Everton, with a massive role in the final third. Prior to his departure, Ndiaye had been in impressive form, with four goals to his name from 16 starts. While his average of 1.34 shots per 90 in the Premier League this season is nothing to write home about, 60% of those hit the target, highlighting how he tends to be accurate. Even at AFCON, he had just six shots, but four of those hit the target.

Norwich v Coventry Bet Builder @ 4.20

Let's get the elephant in the room addressed here early on.

Norwich have only seen BTTS-Yes land twice in their last six matches, and both of those were 2-1 away wins. However, they have seven goals in their last two games, and confidence is on the rise in the Canaries squad, so I am expecting to see a greater goal threat from Norwich in this match.

Even though Coventry are the league leaders, they aren't averse to letting in a few goals, especially on the road. Their last four away games have ended as BTTS-Yes, and their expected goals totals away from home are 2.01 for and 1.14 against, so BTTS should be expected in the majority of Coventry away games.

Just for added interest as well, Coventry had BTTS come in their last two home games, and five of the last six meetings between these clubs have seen BTTS-Yes land.

Coventry haven't been huge corner winners despite their relative dominance across the season so far, but they have probably conceded more than most people would've predicted as well, which makes the total corner market quite appealing here.

There is also evidence in the form of recent decent corner totals in Coventry away matches. Coventry average 10.26 corners per match across the season as a whole, but their most recent away Championship matches have seen 8, 12, 9, 12, 7, 11, 9, 9, 11, and 21 corners won, so eight of those 10 matches go over this line.

Norwich actually average more corners than Coventry in their matches, 10.5 per match is their total, and they concede more than they win across the season, but this is flipped when only looking at home matches, where they manage to win around 5.5 per 90.

Other than their last home match v Stoke, which saw only six corners, they too have had decent totals of late, 11, 11, 15, 12, 9, 10, and 12, so only one in their last eight home matches have dropped below this line.

I make this a pretty big price when considering Kitching's role in the team and the opponent he is likely to be facing.

Kitching is a strong aerial presence in the team, and his role as a box defender will be tested by Makama. The Norwich striker isn't a target man, but he is strong, athletic, and competitive.

Kitching has been fouled regularly this season, averaging 1.5 fouls against him per 90. This includes at least one in each of his last four matches.

Then we have the fact that his opposite number, Jovon Makama, is a regular fouler too. The young Norwich striker is still establishing himself at this level, but he is a strong, athletic, and physical player who clearly has no issue in being in a battle with an opposition defender. He has committed 1.93 fouls per 90 in the league this season, and though he didn't foul last time out, he had on his previous 10 starts consecutively, with seven of those 10 seeing two or more fouls.

This isn't really so much a Kellan Fisher bet as it is an anti-Ephron Mason Clark bet.

The Coventry forward is expected to take up his usual position on the left of the Coventry attack, and he usually wreaks havoc from that position in many different ways. What we are interested in here, though, are the number of fouls he has committed.

He has averaged 2.09 against, per match, and whilst, of course, they aren't all against his right-back, the chances are that Keller will feel Mason-Clark pressing him to try and make a mistake on multiple occasions.

Keller himself is not averse to this. He has been fouled and responded in kind many times already. He has been fouled 1.11 times per 90 this season, including twice last time out and four at least seven times in his last 10 starts.
