Now onto my picks ahead of the 25/26 Premier League season.

Remember you can play my brand new Premier League Predictor free-to-play game below.

Simply predict the final Premier League table for the 25/26 season, positions 1-20.

If you predict all positions correctly, you’ll win £1M.

The deadline for editing selections is Friday 19th September (GW5) so each week I'll drop in some notes on what I'm thinking.

Man City

One thing I expected this weekend was a win for Man City, but the way they won seriously impressed me. I know they only played a Wolves side that I currently have predicted to finish 17th, but the football they played and the way their signings slotted in seamlessly has made me seriously reconsider who will be lifting the title come May.

Stand out debutant Tijjani Reijnders ran the show and looks to have the legs they seriously lacked last season, whilst the likes of Trafford and Ait Nouri put in solid performances themselves. That’s without mentioning Rayan Cherki who came on and scored a belter after only eight minutes.

They play Spurs in the early kick off this Saturday, which should be a good test. I’ll definitely be giving that a watch, if they come out with a convincing win I may just be swayed to put them top.

Sunderland

As it stands, I currently have Sunderland in 19th in my prediction. With the deadline for changes being the 19th of September I’m not immediately rushing to put them higher, but I was certainly impressed with their 3-0 win over an albeit poor West Ham side.

They looked physically strong, and not afraid to play more direct football - something which has been detrimental to the likes of Southampton and Burnley during their previous Premier League stints. If they continue to play to their strengths, and get the likes of Adingra firing, I think they could certainly be in with a chance of staying up.
