The Gunners cannot afford nothing but perfection over the last three gameweeks of the Premier League season if they’re to hold off the relentless charge from Manchester City. With three wins from their last three league games, they still have hope of lifting their first league title in 20 years.
Bournemouth will be hoping to keep their spot inside the top half of the table after claiming two well earned victories against Wolves and Brighton. But previous history in this fixture doesn’t offer great omens for the Cherries.

⚔️ Arsenal v Bournemouth Head-to-Head
There’s a very dominant team in the history of this fixture. Arsenal and Bournemouth have met 15 times in with Arsenal winning on 12 occasions compared to Bourenmouth’s single win.
Arsenal are very prolific in this fixture too, scoring three goals in each of their past three meetings with Bournemouth, including a dominant 4-0 victory at the Vitality Stadium earlier this season. The Gunners also kept two clean sheets in that period, and considering their strength at the back this season, it will be tough for the visitors to breach that line.
Arsenal have had plenty of joy against the Bournemouth defence in recent meetings, registering at least 6 shots on target in all of their last three matchups (8, 9, 6) averaging 20 shots per game.
This fixture seems to be a favourite of skipper Martin Odegaard, with the Arsenal number eight scoring three goals across his last three against the Cherries. The Norwegian picked up a goal and an assist last time with Ben White getting on the end of a looped cross to claim goals in back-to-back games against Bournemouth.
The first half during these encounters are also seemingly packed with action with each of their last three meetings witnessing at least one goal during the first 45 minutes of play – two of those games saw two goals in the opening 45.
📊 Arsenal Form and Stats
Mikel Arteta’s boys are enjoying another fine season and they’ll be desperate to go all the way after getting so close last year. Arsenal have been exceptional in 2024 with 13 wins from 15 games in the Premier League and their dominance in their last two fixtures is a testament to their strength.
Arsenal have won five of their last six league outings, scoring two or more goals in each of those wins, totalling an impressive 14 goals. This includes a 5-0 crushing of Chelsea at the Emirates last time out and a 3-2 victory in the North London Derby away at Spurs – a flattering scoreline for the hosts considering the Gunners stellar defensive performance.
The Gunners are dominant when playing on home turf winning 12 of their 17 outings with only two losses. They also boast solid attacking numbers at the Emirates, with a -1 handicap for Arsenal landing in nine of those home wins, including five of their last six victories.
Fan favourite Kai Havertz is shining once again in this side with three goals and an assist in his last two games, with all of his five shots hitting the target. Havertz also scored in his side’s victory at the Vitality Stadium a few months ago.
📊 Bournemouth Form and Stats
The Cherries have recovered the winning form that slingshotted them up into the top half of the table, with back-to-back victories in the league following a period of three games without claiming the full royalties. This has left Andoni Iraola’s boys with six victories and one draw in their last ten matches in the top-flight.
Many would argue that their quest for three points against Manchester United was sabotaged by some questionable refereeing decisions but Bournemouth have shown great progress nonetheless.
Bournemouth have scored in 13 consecutive away fixtures in the Premier League and have netted in all but one of their 17 games on the road this season. Action is common for the Cherries on away days with 3 or more goals being scored on 13 occasions, a figure matched by the both teams to score market.
A prominent trend in recent weeks for Saturday’s visitors is fouls, with the Cherries racking up 13+ fouls in eight consecutive Premier League matches. Corners have also been flying in with double-digit corner tallies being witnessed in 10 of their last 14 – three of the exceptions had nine corners.
💰 Arsenal v Bournemouth Best Bets
Considering the hosts’ dominance in this fixture combined with their current defensive excellence, a (-1) handicap for Arsenal at 1.53 with Betfair looks great value. The Gunners have scored 2 or more goals in six of their last seven matches at home, and with 10 goals in their last three, they should be able to build a solid gap v Bournemouth on the scoreboard.
With these two sides, the first 45 minutes is typically full of action with at least one team scoring in the first half in eight consecutive meetings. Three of the last four meetings have witnessed two goals in the first half of play and Arsenal typically start very strongly at the Emirates, scoring in the first half in seven of their last eight. You can back over 1.5 first half goals at 1.91 on Betfair.
