Harrogate are in the midst of a relegation dogfight, we’re now at that point in the season where picking up wins is vital, and they need to be positive in their approach, regardless of the opposition.

Despite their perilous position, Harrogate are showing an ability to be territorially competitive. Harrogate have now picked up 6+ corners in seven out of their last 10 games. These numbers have also been pretty consistent in their recent home matches, with the hosts having 6+ corners in five of their last six games at the Exercise Stadium. We are only looking for them to hit five corners here, which looks very achievable.

Given the quality of Notts County and their ambitions this season, there’s a good chance the visitors will win the game or be leading for a good portion of it, this could create a favourable game state for the hosts to rack up a decent corner count. The visitors also had a game in midweek against Oldham, and there might be some accumulated fatigue which may allow Harrogate to get on the front foot and start the game quickly.

The Harrogate defender is quickly gaining a reputation for being a nuisance in the penalty box, I’ve seen a few people backing him as an anytime goalscorer in tipster circles over the last couple of months.

Heffernan has managed 12 shots in 1,260 minutes of League Two football, however, these numbers have been far more productive in home matches; with nine of these shots coming on home soil. This puts him comfortably averaging more than a shot per 90 minutes at the Exercise Stadium. A good percentage of these efforts are also hitting the target, with five out of nine shots troubling the keeper.

Statistically at least, a Heffernan shot on target is landing 0.36 times per 90 minutes, so the pricing of 5.50 does give us an edge here. I’m always a fan of complimenting variables, a high corner count will increase the chance of Heffernan attaining shooting opportunities.
