There is little to play for coming into this clash for either side - Arsenal boast a flawless record and a top spot finish is all but certain, while Kairat are at the other end of the standings.

The Kazakhstan side are still yet to record a victory, and they travel to the Emirates on Wednesday night to close out their European campaign.

4 Selections @ 3.75

Over 3.5 Goals @ 1.50

The Gunners might have nothing to gain from this match, but they will certainly want to end the league phase on a high, and finish with the perfect record of eight wins from eight. That would send a real statement out to every other side, and give them a ton of confidence going into the next round.

The Gunners have been thoroughly convincing in the Champions League so far, and have pulled off some impressive victories. They handed Bayern Munich their first loss of the season, while also beating the Serie A league-leaders, Inter Milan, convincingly last time out.

Mikel Arteta’s men have scored 20 goals from their seven European outings so far, while Kairat have conceded 19. There is a strong chance both sides release the handbrake for this one, opting for attack-minded tactics with this being a deadwood fixture. Because of that, goals become a target.

Over 7 Corners @ 1.33

Kairat were picked apart by Club Brugge last time out, with that game finishing 4-1. The Belgian side were dominant throughout, racking up 17 shots and five big chances, while Kairat’s only goal came in the 92nd minute as a late consolation. The Kazakhstan side looked incredibly rusty, which makes sense given that their domestic season ended in October.

Kairat have struggled on their travels this season, and have lost all three of their matches. They are conceding on average 20.6 shots per game in that time, and 7.3 corners. Inter Milan registered 23 shots and nine corners against Kairat, dominant proceedings at the San Siro.

Once again, it is likely to be one-way traffic at the Emirates, and the Gunners could clear this line on their own. However, they have conceded at least one corner in every Champions League match so far, averaging 3.0 corners against per game.

Viktor Gyokores Over 2.5 Shots @ 1.50

Mikel Arteta has a deep squad at his disposal, so has been happy to rotate for midweek games. Gabriel Jesus led the line against Inter Milan to good effect, as he bagged himself a brace as Arsenal won that game 3-1, earning himself another start against Man United at the weekend.

That meant Viktor Gyokoroes featured only from the bench, but the Swedish international should return to the starting eleven midweek. Since arriving from Sporting Lisbon over the summer, it hasn’t been the easiest start to life in the Premier League for Gyokores, as he has nine goals to his name after 27 appearances across all competitions.

The 27-year-old is in need of a confidence boost, and should be able to find plenty of chances against Kairat here. Gyokores is averaging 4.29 shots per 90 in the Champions League this season, and has landed this selection in all four of his European starts.

Alexander Mrynskiy Over 0.5 Fouls Committed @ 1.44

Myles Lewis-Skelly is another player who is set for a midweek recall after watching on from the bench on Sunday afternoon. The 19-year-old has started just one Premier League game this season, with either Riccardo Calafiori or Piero Hincapie preferred at left back, but the Englishman has featured much more regularly in the Champions League.

Lewis-Skelly has started five of Arsenal’s seven European matches so far, during which he has drawn a total of eleven fouls - no player has drawn more infringements than him in the Arsenal squad. The fullback is adept at drawing contact and going down lightly to buy soft free-kicks, which bodes well for this selection.

Alexander Mrynskiy looks set to feature on the right wing for Kairat, which puts him directly up against Lewis-Skelly. Mrynskiy is averaging just 0.72 fouls per 90 in the Champions League so far, but he has landed this selection in five out of seven games.

3 Selections @ 9.00

Ben White Over 0.5 Shots on Target @ 2.10

It has been a similar story for Ben White this season, as he has played second fiddle to Jurrien Timber. White did, however, manage his first goal of the season a couple of weeks back, as he scored against Chelsea in the EFL Cup. While he isn’t renowned for his contributions in the final third, White has shown a tendency to pop up in dangerous positions, and he should be able to get forward against Kairat here.

White’s goal against Chelsea came from a corner, highlighting how he can be a threat in the air. The Gunners should have plenty of opportunities to get the ball in the box against Kairat, which will bring White into the game.

The 28-year-old is averaging 0.95 shots per game in the Premier League this season, and has registered a shot in four out of five starts overall.

Jorge Jorginho Over 1.5 Fouls Drawn @ 1.72

Arsenal managed 17 fouls in their last Champions League outing against Inter Milan, highlighting how they can be quite an aggressive side in their press. Petar Sucic, who plays as the most advanced midfielder, was fouled four times, causing issues for Mikel Merino and Martin Zubimendi.

Jorge Jorginho will operate in a similar role for Kairat here, and he will have to play a big role to help his side establish a foothold in the match. The Portuguese international is usually the one who looks to get on the ball, and has the confidence to try and beat his man. Jorginho was fouled six times against Club Brugge last time out, accounting for exactly half of the fouls drawn by his team.

Jorginho is averaging 2.82 fouls drawn per 90 this season in the Champions League, and has been fouled at least once in every game.

Dan Glazer Over 0.5 Shots @ 2.50

Dan Glazer will operate in a slightly deeper role than Jorginho, but the 29-year-old did manage to get a shot off against Club Brugge. It was a speculative effort from outside the box which went well off target, but he showed good intent to make his way forward. Against Arsenal, chances are likely to be few and far between, so if Kairat can make it into the final third they are probably going to pull the trigger whenever possible.

Glazer also registered a shot against Copenhagen earlier in the Champions League in similar circumstances - a long-range effort which went off target. However, he has shown a willingness to let fly from range, which could be useful against Arsenal.

Kairat have nothing to lose coming into this clash, and the element of complacency could creep in for the Gunners, given their dominant position at the top of the pile.

📈 Arsenal v Kairat Almaty Form & Tactics

Arsenal followed up their victory over Inter Milan with a poor showing against Man United on Sunday evening - they were beaten 3-2 at the Emirates. After it seemed like Mikel Merino had rescued a point for his side in the 84th minute, Matheus Cunha dealt the final blow just three minutes later, ending the Gunners’ 12-game unbeaten run. Arsenal remain at the top of the Premier League table, but Man City and Aston Villa have closed the gap to just four points.

While there is no pressure on them coming into this game, Arsenal will desperately want to bounce back. A single point secures top spot here, but that’s not necessarily a big advantage going into the next round - Liverpool were drawn against PSG after finishing top of the standings last season, and the Reds were eliminated by the eventual winners.

Kairat may have been crowned Kazakhstan Premier League winners in 2025, but that domestic dominance hasn’t translated at all to European success. Kairat rank rock bottom of the 36-team standings, with just one point. That came against Cypriot minnows Pafos, who were shown a red card after just four minutes.

📔 Arsenal v Kairat Almaty Formation & Team News

With no league games on the agenda, Kairat are likely to go with an unchanged eleven to that which lost 4-1 against Club Brugge. Edmilson looks set to lead the line, with Valeriy Gromyko out on the flank. Luis Mata and Erkin Tapalov will have plenty of defensive work to get through as the fullback pairing.

Arsenal are likely to make plenty of changes from their weekend lineup, with Gyokores, Gabriel Martinelli and Noni Madueke set to play as the forward trio. Max Dowman and Calafiori are the only injury concerns, meaning Arteta has almost a full squad available for selection.

Cristhian Mosquera should come in at centre back, potentially to partner Christian Norgaard with Kepa Arrizabalaga replacing David Raya in between the sticks. Eberechi Eze has only started two of Arsenal’s last eight games, but he could be called up to the eleven here. He was introduced for the final 30 minutes against Man United at the weekend, but to no effect.
