Club Brugge v Westerlo

Club Brugge remain the surprise of the Champions League. Last Tuesday they recorded a deserved win against top Spanish club Atlético Madrid, putting them even more firmly in the lead in their group. 

Although the whole team is playing at a very high level, striker Jutgla impressed the most with his assist and a goal. He still looks in top form and is tireless, and will most likely also play against Westerlo. In fact, he is leading the Pro League's top scorer standings, which provides extra motivation. Against Atlético we did not get to see Noa Lang, although he left a refreshed impression last week against Mechelen. We expect him to get minutes back this matchday as well. Sylla dropped out in the closing stages of the match on Tuesday with muscle cramps, and may be rested on Saturday. Young Spileers, like last week, could feature at the back. There was a simple win over Mechelen last weekend; now comes the move to Westerlo.

Like Mechelen, Westerlo are a team that tries to play offensively. Jonas De Roeck's team is in a good flow, winning their last three games (against Anderlecht, Zulte Waregem and Charleroi) and scoring 7 goals. With fast and decisive guys up front like Daci and Vetokele, they will be able to create danger on the counter, against a perhaps tired or adjusted defense of Club Brugge. 

Both teams have been scoring smoothly lately and are playing with a lot of confidence. Therefore, we expect an open match, where two teams will try to bring their finest quality football. This should be able to result in goals. Club Brugge remain the favorites, the odds for both teams scoring is rather low. A bet on over 2.5 goals at a nice 1.57 odds is also plausible.
