Spurs have a trip down south to face Bournemouth after their fantastic performance last Saturday against Erik ten Hag’s Man United. Postecoglou’s side won 2-0 courtesy of a Pape Sarr opener and a Lisandro Martinez own goal.
The performance was as impressive as the result, Tottenham looked like a unit. Everyone knew their job and executed it to a tee. They’ll be hoping they can travel to Bournemouth and get another three points.
Bournemouth have had a mixed start to their Premier League campaign. They scraped a hard-earned point against West Ham in their opener before losing 3-1 to ten-man Liverpool in their second.

Bournemouth stats: The Cherries a mixed bag so far
Bournemouth were tipped to be relegated last season, with almost every bookmaker in the land having them as favourites to be relegated after a disastrous start, but they proved the doubters wrong under the fine management of Gary O’Neil. It came as a huge surprise in the summer when Bournemouth announced they’d be parting company with the gaffer that insured their survival.
He has since taken the job at Wolves and Bournemouth have hired Andoni Iraola who left Rayo Vallecano at the end of last season. So far they have had a mixed start to the season. They played well in their opener and managed to secure a point against a strong West Ham team, but followed that up with defeat at Liverpool.
Against West Ham they controlled possession and had a marginally better xG than their opponents on the day with 1.51. If they can bring a similar level of performance to Spurs and ice out their forward line they could well have a chance.
Bournemouth team news
Bournemouth will be without their star signing Tyler Adams for their match against Spurs. The American midfielder who signed from Leeds United has suffered a hamstring injury which will keep him out.
They will also be without Ryan Fredricks, Lewis Cook, Marcus Tavernier and Dango Ouattara.
Tottenham stats: Spurs loving Big Ange
Tottenham fans were heard chanting ‘We’ve got our Tottenham back’ in the dying embers of a 2-0 victory over Manchester United. They performed very well against Erik ten Hag’s side but there were definitely a few issues that will need addressing. United have suffered heavy criticism for their performance but on another day they could win that game. Spurs’ high line was exposed by United on a number of occasions and they were lucky not to have a penalty given against them.
Ange will have seen the issues and begun working on them, as the last thing Spurs need is a false sense of security and overconfidence. They did beat United 2-0 but the xG score told a different story at 2-2. Brentford also managed to hold them to a point. Things are definitely on the up for Spurs but a win away at Bournemouth is certainly no guarantee.
The last two meetings between the sides have been goal heavy with both ending 2-3, with Bournemouth being the victors in their most recent clash.
Tottenham team news
Spurs’ centre-back Cristian Romero recently suffered a head injury but it is likely that he will feature, which is a boost for Ange. They will be without Rodrigo Bentancur until at least the end of the month and perhaps longer. He’s already missed 22 games as a result of a cruciate ligament rupture he sustained on the 12th of February.
Bryan Gil and Ryan Sessegnon are also doubtful to make the trip down south. Aside from that Spurs will have their full squad available and will likely start with the same XI that beat Man Utd.
