Brann v RB Salzburg Bet Builder Quick Tips & Preview

Steve Wyss
Specialist in Scandinavian & European soccer. I have been in the betting game for nearly 20 years now with a summer focus on the Norwegian & Swedish leagues. With an in-depth knowledge of the region & teams I have been involved in a specialist podcast & more for close to a decade. My favourite types of bets are attacking the goal lines and identifying the tactics & style of each team & manager who can contribute positively. Outside of betting I was once a Sunday League goalkeeper myself. But my boots are now retired and instead prefer to hit up the cricket pitch and golf course in my spare time.
- Brann v RB Salzburg
- UEFA Champions League Qualifying
- 16:30
Brann have won all of their last four home games.
All of RB Salzburg games had an xG of over two at the Club World Cup.
Brann make their first appearance in Champions League qualifying since 2008, so this is a big occasion for the Bergen outfit. In a clash between two teams who didn’t win their respective leagues last season, they take on RB Salzburg, with the winners to face Club Brugge.
🔴 Inconsistency Costing Brann in the Eliteserien Title Race
Brann have been in mixed form recently. They just got well beaten 2-0 by KFUM Oslo on Saturday, and it has been their away form which has been a concern. Brann have won all of their last four games at home by a 12:4 margin and generally have been very strong in front of their own fans. They’ve won six out of nine at home in the Eliteserien, suffering just one defeat.
Brann have been a constant goal threat, averaging 1.78 xG per game in the Eliteserien this season. They have the 2nd-best average xGA per match domestically, but have only kept three clean sheets. Brann recently sold key striker Aune Heggebo to West Brom for around £5 million.
⚪ RB Salzburg Looking to Kick on from Club World Cup
RB Salzburg gave a decent account of themselves at the Club World Cup. They were eventually eliminated in the group stage but beat Pachuca 2-1 and drew 0-0 with quarter-finalists Al-Hilal. They have since followed that up with a pair of friendly matches v Qarabag and Derby County.
All of RB Salzburg’s Club World Cup games had an xG of over 2, and every game contained at least nine corners. Their fixtures tended to be quite open, even the 0-0 v Al Hilal, in which a lot of chances were wasted. The Austrian side have recently sold right back Amar Dedic to Benfica for £12 million, although he didn’t play any part at the Club World Cup.
📊 Brann v RB Salzburg H2H
