Brentford have left their last two Premier League matches pointless, but it is worth noting that they had two difficult fixtures against Arsenal and Tottenham. Both of those games against their London rivals finished 2-0, respectively, and the Bees will relish a return to their home ground.

Brentford have looked much more comfortable on home turf this season, boasting a record of five wins, one draw and one loss in the Premier League. Their one defeat came against Man City, and the draw was against Chelsea - two tough matchups against elite sides.

By contrast, they have lost seven of their eight away outings, with the only win coming against West Ham, who currently sit in the relegation zone. It has been a similar story for Leeds, who have lost six of their seven away games this season, including each of their last four coming into this clash.

There has been a real dichotomy in form for Leeds at home, compared to away, but goals have remained relatively consistent. The Whites were involved in a five-goal thriller in their last away match against Man City - after going two goals down within 30 minutes, it looked like the scoreline was about to get out of hand. But Leeds fought back, and Lukas Nmecha equalised after 68 minutes. Eventually, a stoppage-time winner from Phil Foden condemned the visitors to defeat, but it was, nevertheless, a valiant effort.

Prior to that, Leeds were beaten 3-1 by Nottingham Forest, and 3-0 by Brighton on their travels, meaning their opponents have cleared this line on their own in each of their last three away games.

Meanwhile, Brentford have scored a total of nine goals in their last three matches at the Gtech Community Stadium, landing this selection with ease against Burnley, Newcastle and Liverpool.

Dango Ouattara has been an impressive performer since completing a move from Bournemouth over the summer, and he scored against both Liverpool and Burnley. The 23-year-old has three goals under his belt for his new club, all of which have come on home turf. His contributions extend further than just in the final third, as Ouattara is always willing to drop back and help out defensively.

The Burkina Faso international is averaging 1.38 fouls per 90 in the Premier League this season, rising to 2.12 when playing at home. He has landed this selection in four of his five league matches at the Gtech, only failing against Burnley.

However, it is worth mentioning that Burnley rank 3rd-bottom in the league for total fouls drawn this season. Leeds present a much better matchup than the Clarets for drawing fouls, given that they rank 2nd in the division on that metric.

Pascal Struijk registered one shot against Liverpool last time out, meaning this selection has now landed in each of his last seven consecutive starts. The Dutchman ranks 4th in the Leeds squad for total shots taken this season, and his average of 1.08 shots per 90 is impressive for a centre back.

Brentford are quite a physical team, strong when it comes to set pieces, but Struijk has landed this selection in some incredibly tough matchups this season. He registered two shots against Man City, despite Leeds only taking nine shots as a team, with both of those coming from set pieces.

He even managed a shot against Arsenal back in August, when William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes were available. The Gunners have been the most effective defensive unit this season, particularly effective from set plays, so Struijk having a shot against the league leaders speaks volumes about the threat he poses in the final third.

Anton Stach racked up four fouls in that match against Liverpool last weekend, taking his average to 1.88 fouls per 90 for the season in total. That is the highest of any Leeds player in the top-flight, highlighting how the German is strong in his press. However, that has translated to just two cards this season, as Stach has been much more fortunate than his midfield partner, Ethan Ampadu.

The Welshman is currently on a tightrope, having picked up four yellow cards in the Premier League. Since picking up his fourth caution against Aston Villa, Ampadu has committed just one foul in his next three games, allowing Stach to be the more aggressive in the pair.

The German international racked up 10 yellows for Hoffenheim last season, averaging a card every four games.

Brentford struggled to fashion many meaningful chances against Spurs last time out, but when they did, Igor Thiago was at the end of it. The Brazilian accounted for three of his sides’ four shots in total, missing one big chance. The 24-year-old has shown a tendency to pop up in dangerous positions this season, and has usually been a lot more clinical.

Thiago has scored 11 goals from 15 Premier League appearances this season, with seven of those coming at the Gtech Community Stadium. He bagged a brace on his last home outing against Burnley, and repeated that feat against Newcastle in the game prior.

Thiago has been ruthless in front of goal this season, and is only behind Erling Haaland in the Premier League top goalscorer charts. Against a team like Leeds who have struggled massively on the road, he will fancy his chances of closing the gap on the Man City man.

Brentford have struggled in their last two matches, losing both to nil, and they haven’t offered much in the final third either. The Bees registered just four shots against Tottenham, and six against Arsenal. Sepp van den Berg accounted for one of those 10 efforts, as he had a shot blocked against Arsenal.

Under the management of former set piece coach Keith Andrews, Brentford have been a real threat from dead ball scenarios, as they always look to lump the ball into the six yard box at every available opportunity. Van den Berg has landed this selection in four of his last five league matches, highlighting how he is one of the main targets for Brentford.
