Bristol City welcome Wrexham to Ashton Gate on Tuesday evening.
It’s a big game in the race for the play-offs; both sides are separated by just one point, and they will be hoping to put some pressure on Preston and Derby, who are directly above them.
With both Bristol City and Wrexham having a game in hand, if either team wins the game, they will occupy the final play-off spot, plenty of incentive.

📈 Bristol City v Wrexham Form & Stats
The hosts are playing out a pretty inconsistent campaign. Bristol City have now taken 16 points from their last ten games, winning five, losing four, and drawing one of those games. However, Bristol City are in 9th place and remain just two points off the play-offs with a game in hand.
A sobering 5-0 defeat against Derby on the 30th of January was followed up by a notable away win against play-off chasing Hull. There has been a slight air of doom and gloom about the club after Anis Mehmeti left for Ipswich, and Zak Vyner left for Tuesday’s opponents, Wrexham, in the January window. There have been many murmurs of discontent amongst the fans and the playing squad.
Despite a slow start to the campaign for Wrexham, they’ve ultimately adapted to life at the Championship level effectively, being tough to beat has become part of their DNA, and they’ve only lost eight of their 31 Championship matches. This resilience and ability to grind out low margin games has left them 8th in the league, just one point off 6th place Derby, and with a game in hand.
A credible FA Cup win against Ipswich on Friday night should further boost confidence ahead of this one. Their league form has been good over the last ten games, picking up 19 points and winning six of those matches.
