Fulham have let their standards slip in recent weeks, and they have failed to win or even score in any of their last three matches across all competitions. Fulham have been able to still create chances, but they have lacked a cutting edge going forward. However, Marco Silva’s men will be confident they can break their duck this weekend, as they face a struggling Burnley side. 

The Clarets have failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their last 14 matches across all competitions, and they come into this on a five-game winless streak. With 58 goals conceded from their 30 league games, Burnley have been the worst defensive unit in the league, and their numbers are even worse on the road, with 35 goals conceded. 

However, BTTS has landed in 11 of their last 14 away outings, which highlights how they can carry a threat going forward.

Both sides have struggled at the back in recent weeks, so we could get quite an open contest with chances available at both ends of the field.

The reverse fixture between these sides was an entertaining contest at Turf Moor, and it finished 3-2 to Fulham. Burnley were unfortunate to leave empty-handed, given that they managed 16 shots and five big chances worth 2.46 xG. In return, the visitors recorded just six shots, but that amounted to 2.23 xG.

There were 14 corners in that clash, with Burnley accounting for ten, and Fulham for four, but Fulham have been much more attack-minded at Craven Cottage this season. They are averaging 5.63 corners per game at home, compared to 4.78 when playing away. 

Meanwhile, Burnley have seen an average of 10.0 corners per game when playing away, with 3.6 corners for, and 6.4 corners against.

Harry Wilson played a pivotal role in Fulham’s win in the reverse fixture, as he contributed to all three goals for the visitors. Wilson provided the assist for both Emile Smith Rowe and Calvin Bassey in the first half, before getting on the scoresheet himself soon after the second period started. 

Wilson had two shots in that game, and both hit the target, highlighting how he was able to find some good chances in the final third. Once again, he should be looking forward to this matchup against the leakiest defence in the division. 

Wilson has played with a lot more confidence at Craven Cottage this season - he is averaging 1.83 shots per 90 when playing away, but 2.84 at home. He has landed this bet in five of his last six home starts, and he has bagged five goals in that period.

In addition to his goalscoring exploits, Wilson is also averaging 1.13 fouls drawn per 90 across all competitions this season, rising to 1.35 when playing at home. The Welshman sees plenty of the ball out on the flank for Fulham, and he is adept at drawing free-kicks. 

Bashir Humphreys should occupy a similar zone of the field as Wilson, and that is a matchup to keep an eye on. Humphreys is averaging 0.91 fouls per 90 this season, and has landed this selection in 10 out of 13 starts at the back for the Clarets.

The 23-year-old has also been carded four times in that stretch, highlighting how he can often find himself caught out of position and forced into cynical fouls. Humphreys usually looks to get tight to his opposing winger, which bodes well for this selection.
