Burnley v Norwich
Kick Off: Friday 11th April at 20:00
What TV Channel: Sky Sports Main Event
Scott Parker’s team have risen to the top of the league based on one of the best EFL defensive records in history. This could be tested by a team containing two of the top three goalscorers in the league, but Norwich’s defensive issues also present an opportunity for Burnley to move closer to an immediate Premier League return.

15 out of Burnley's 20 home matches this season have seen them keep a clean sheet. In the other five they have conceded only one goal.
Four of those matches have ended 0-0, but that still makes over half of Burnley's home matches ending in wins to nil for the Clarets.
Norwich's record against the elite teams in the league is not good. They have lost away at all the other top five teams and didn't score against Leeds or Sheffield United. Moreover, they didn't even have a single big chance or a shot on target in their visits to the other top three members.
There are a lot of indications why a bet on Burnley to win to nil appeals at a price of 2.37.

🔍 Burnley v Norwich Players to Watch
🟣 Jaidon Anthony
Anthony was probably unheralded as a signing in the summer, but he has arguably been Burnley's most important attacking player across the season as a whole.
The wide man has averaged 2.28 shots per 90 across the campaign as a whole, but has improved his shot output over time, hitting over 1.5 shots in eight of his last ten starts, and over 2.5 in three of his last four.

🟣 Zian Flemming
This is a double-edged angle with Flemming and Lyle Foster seemingly sharing minutes in the centre of the three attacking roles for Burnley.
Flemming has the higher shot rate, averaging 2.87 shots per 90 over the last 20 matches, and when he is on the pitch he is the primary free-kick taker as well.
However, Foster is a good person to have in reserve for the Sub On Play On promotion.

🟡 Josh Sargent
Sargent has been on a great run of getting shots on target. Since he began starting matches again following his injury he has hit the target at least once in 11 of his 12 starts.
This works out as an average of 1.4 shots on target per 90 minutes.

💻 Burnley v Norwich Form and Tactics
Burnley are on the longest unbeaten run in the EFL, their last Championship defeat was way back on 3rd November at Millwall, 28 matches ago. They haven't lost at home at all, winning 11 and drawing nine. It is seven wins and three draws in their last ten as well.
Scott Parker and his coaching staff have drilled this 4-2-3-1 / 4-3-3 system to perfection, especially from a defensive perspective. They have solid all-round full backs, they have established a very solid and consistent centre-back partnership between Maxime Ésteve and CJ Egan-Riley, and their wide attackers are very diligent in their work back. Josh Cullen will dictate play, whilst Josh Laurent uses his physicality to bring balance to the midfield.
Norwich are also going to play with a 4-2-3-1, but they would usually show more ambition with high and wide full-backs. With Marcelino Nunez back in the starting lineup, their central midfield has more guile and quality. Given the difficulty of the fixture, it wouldn't be a surprise to see Johannes Hoff Thorup bolster the midfield with Kenny McLean and another holder, probably Jacob Sørensen. Josh Sargent and Borja Sainz are certain starters in attack.
Norwich have only won once in their last seven Championship matches, blowing their chances of a playoff push with that run. However, they arguably deserved a win against Sunderland on Tuesday having outshot the Black Cats.
🏁 Burnley v Norwich Ref Watch
Robert Jones is more regularly seen at Premier League level, this will only be his fourth Championship match of the season having officiated 19 Premier League matches
However, he does have plenty of Championship experience having refereed 100 second-tier matches
He is averaging 4.09 yellow cards per fixture this season, which is quite a high average.
He averages over 26 fouls per match in his career in the Championship, which is higher than most of his peers, and four fouls a match higher than he averages in the Premier League.
However, he actually averages fewer yellow cards in the Championship overall, running at only 3.32 per match across the 100 he has officiated.
