Chesterfield v Mansfield Bet Builder Quick Tips & Preview

Fuelled by a passion for sport and a sharp instinct for uncovering patterns in data, beating the bookies became the perfect outlet for my competitive streak. Now I take pleasure in sharing my finds with ABC punters. I enjoy finding niche angles and betting value in a range of markets and leagues, my favourite being in Serie A.
Mansfield Town and Chesterfield will meet on Tuesday for the first time since April 2018, in what promises to be a mouthwatering derby. I've picked out two best bets for the match.

- Chesterfield v Mansfield
- EFL Cup
- 19:45
Chesterfield have won both of their opening two games of the season, while Mansfield have lost their two matches so far
Chesterfield haven't conceded a goal in their two matches, while Mansfield created just 0.33xG last time out
Last time these two sides met, there were a total of six cards handed out
The bookies look to have been pretty generous in their pricing of this clash, paving the way nicely for us to enjoy the showdown with a couple of quid riding on it too.
Chesterfield are narrow favourites at 2.25, but look good value in this market. Taking Chesterfield Double Chance at 1.40 represents a good punting option, too.

⚪ Spireites Launch a Statement Start
Chesterfield achieved promotion to League 2 in the 23/24 season, and followed it up with an impressive 7th place finish last time round. This year, the Spireites will undoubtedly have their gaze firmly set on achieving promotion to League One, after almost a decade of abstinence.
Most recently, they travelled to Cheltenham, where they dominated proceedings, controlling 56% of possession and converting that into three big chances and 2.04xG. The 2-0 scoreline fairly reflected Chesterfield’s superiority.
🟠 Early Struggles at Field Mill
Having earned promotion the previous year, Mansfield did enough to preserve their League One status last season, finishing 17th.
Nigel Clough, now in his sixth season at the helm, has overseen steady progress and is intent on establishing them as a permanent fixture in League One.
That said, the new campaign has started on the wrong foot, with Mansfield having suffered consecutive defeats in the league.
Their last clash was particularly underwhelming, as the Stags blew their half-time lead against newly-promoted Doncaster to lose 2-1 for the second time running, creating a mere 0.33xG in the process.
📊Chesterfield v Mansfield H2H
As mentioned, the last time these sides crossed paths was all the way back in April 2018, as Mansfield claimed the bragging rights in a 1-0 win against a Spirelites team soon to head out of the EFL.
Plenty has changed since then, so it’s hard to draw any real conclusions from that result, but it is worth mentioning that six cards were dealt out on that occasion, and with local pride at stake once more, it’s surely a market well worth monitoring.
