Tallinna Kalev v Kuressaare
🏟
Sunday 4th September – 12:30PM KO
Tallinna Kalev come into this tricky tie with Kure off the back of 2 straight wins. Both of those wins came against the 2 teams sitting below them in the table, Legion and Parnu and both with a 3-2 score line. These 2 wins will see Kalev feeling confident of a Premium Liiga place next season, sitting 11 points clear of 9th placed Legion.
Kure are having their best season in their existence, currently sitting in 5th place of the table, and only 8 points off 4th placed Paide. Kure come into this off of a 1-1 draw with Tammeka and are currently on a run of only 1 defeat in their previous 5 matches.
Kalev will probably be hoping that they’d be playing a Kure side from a couple of years ago, when they were absolutely terrible. Despite this, the current run gives a sense of confidence, with 3 key players, Purje, Yakovlev and Trawally all shining in the previous 2 fixtures. The only problem is, they’re very poor and vulnerable defensively. Kure with a trio of Flora loanees up front will no doubt exploit this. Mattias Mannilaan has started to show his class after a slow start to the season and will be looking to add to his goal tally.
These 2 have faced off twice already this season, with Kure winning both without conceding a goal. Goals should be guaranteed with Kalev’s leaky defence and the half decent attacks from both teams. Despite Kalev winning 2 in a row, it’s hard to look past Kure, who are all round

Levadia v Flora
🏟
Sunday 4th September – 4:00PM KO
Flora are still looking impressive and near impossible to beat, with their unbeaten run now reaching 41 games in the league. Coming into this match off an impressive 2 victories against the other remaining so called big 4, Paide and Kalju, Flora will be confident of maintaining their fantastic run.
Levadia also come into this match having also played the same teams as Flora, Kalju and Paide. Unfortunately, they drew both games and slipped further behind Flora in the race for the title. Head coach Ivan Stokovic will be using these remaining fixtures to try and seal the job permanently next year, although he hasn’t been convincing so far.
Levadia’s key player Beglarishvili tends to go missing in the big games, despite being the league’s top scorer, he did little to contribute in the recent 2 matches. Levadia will need him in top form to have a chance of taking points here. Flora are the league’s top scorers and have goals scored from all over the pitch, with players looking to score their 10th of the season. There isn’t a better match to do this in.
Levadia haven’t beaten Flora in the league since May 2019, something that will want to be rectified ASAP, Levadia captain Brent Lepistu has also mentioned how the players hate this record. They did beat Flora in the Super Cup earlier in the year though. Levadia’s task will be made more difficult after key center back Mitrovic was sent off against Paide. Flora will be at full strength and their ability to rotate their squad and still have immense strength is the reason why they’re the best team in Estonia.

Pärnu v Legion
🏟
Sunday 4th September – 5:30PM KO
This is a game that will probably decide who will go down automatically. Both sides are in similar form with Legion losing their last 9, and Pärnu losing their last 8.
Out of the 2, Legion may just edge out as those who have been the unluckiest in their defeats, albeit both have been woeful.
Of Pänu’s last 8 defeats they have conceded 23 goals but have also managed to score 8 themselves. Strikers Kevin Kauber and Ronaldo Tiismaa have scored 11 goals between them this season, almost half of the team’s total goals scored all season. Having both on the pitch will be vital for Pärnu should they get a chance on goal.
Legion have also conceded 23 goals in their last 9 defeats, scoring just the 7. Legion have had a real struggle this season when it comes to strikers scoring the goals. Instead, they have relied on Nikita Ivanov and Pavel Domov to be the bright sparks in the team, they have 13 goals between them whereas the rest of the team has 10 between them.
Pärnu have never beaten Legion, but with Legion’s youthful tiring team, they may just stand a chance. With both teams desperate for a win, both sides should be going straight out attacking and no team should sit back even on a 1-0 lead. Both teams have their star players available to them so we can expect a goal fest.
