Saturday’s Premier League Player Fouls Tips
Tarkowski has committed 14 fouls across his 14 Premier League appearances this season (1.01 per 90).
He faces a difficult task against Arsenal at the Emirates, the Gunners are yet to lose at home this season and have looked more and more the side that came so close to the title last season in recent weeks. Arsenal should control the game leaving Everton with a lot of work to do out of possession.
He’ll be in a direct tussle with Kai Havertz who has won 16 fouls across his 14 Premier League appearances this season (1.16 per 90). Tarkowski committed 2 fouls and was shown a yellow card in this fixture last season. The centre back contested 13 duels and made the joint most tackles of any player on the pitch (3).
Young has committed 12 fouls across his 12 Premier League appearances this season (1.04 per 90). The 39 year old has committed at least 1 foul in each of his last 5 Premier League appearances.
He’ll be up against Gabriel Martinelli who has won 6 fouls across his 13 Premier League appearances this season (0.69 per 90). This record isn’t particularly prolific but it’s likely Arsenal will look to target his side of the pitch with the fullback and left central midfielder also involved in the wide build up in Mikel Arteta’s system.
Young made the joint most tackles of any player in this fixture last season (3) as well as contesting 9 duels. He committed 1 foul in the meeting between these sides at Goodison Park last term and was also shown a yellow card.
Davis has won 14 fouls across his 15 Premier League appearances this season, the forward thinking full back regularly draws fouls with his progressive approach and is in a good position to continue that record against a side that commit the second most fouls per game of any Premier League team this season (13.0).
Davis will line up against Matt Doherty with Gary O’Neil once again reverting to a 3 at the back system with wingbacks. This was effective against West Ham with Ait-Nouri delivering from the left for Doherty to finish but it still exposed the problems Wolves had defensively with Jarrod Bowen firing the Hammers back in front just 2 minutes after Wolves had equalised.
Doherty committed 3 fouls and contested 14 duels in Wolves’ loss to West Ham last time out, he hasn’t featured regularly for the Wanderers this season but looks set to continue in his wingback role which should bring out a similar foul rate up against Davis will who constantly look to peg him back.
Hall has won 9 fouls across his 15 Premier League appearances this season (0.71 per 90).
The fullback has stood out for Newcastle this term whilst the team as a whole have struggled to find consistency. He is instructed to get forward by Eddie Howe with the 20 year old possessing a dangerous delivery which has contributed to the 18 chances he’s created this season.
He’ll be up against Facundo Buonanotte who has committed at least 1 foul in each of his last 5 Premier League appearances. He’s committed 17 fouls in total this campaign across his 12 appearances (1.73 per 90).
Tete has committed 23 fouls across his 14 Premier League appearances this season (1.71 per 90) – only Sasa Lukic is averaging more fouls committed per 90 for Fulham this season (2.7).
He’ll be up against Luis Diaz who has won 12 fouls across his 14 Premier League appearances this season (1.36 per 90). The battle between these players will be one to follow throughout the game, Diaz is also averaging 2.16 fouls committed per 90 in the Premier League this season so there is a high chance the pair become embroiled in a battle on that side of the pitch.
Tete committed 2 fouls and contested 7 duels against Arsenal last time out. He contested 6 duels in this fixture last season which was a chaotic affair that ended 4-3 to Liverpool thanks to a last minute Trent Alexander Arnold winner.
