🏆 Georgia v Czech Republic
📅
Kick Off: Saturday 22nd June at 14:00
🛑 Otar Kakabadze to commit 1+ fouls
📈
Odds: 1.33
Kakabadze lined up as a wing back in Georgia’s opening game against Turkey and was involved in 11 duels. His foul record for club and country is strong, in 23 appearances for Cracovia last season he averaged 1.93 fouls per 90.
Furthermore, during qualifying he averaged exactly 1.0 fouls committed per 90 and picked up one yellow card across his seven appearances.
These sides are both likely to play with wing backs which should see Kakabadze involved in multiple duels throughout the game.
🛑 Patrik Schick to commit 1+ fouls
📈
Odds: 1.36
Schick was involved in a match-high 15 duels in Czech Republic’s first game against Portugal, remarkably losing 12 of them.
His national side look to utilise his presence by being very direct into him and strike partner Jan Kuchta which can lead to the striker finding himself in physical battles against centre backs.
He committed one foul in the opening game and was booked, while at club level, the Czech striker averaged 0.93 fouls committed per 90 for Bayer Leverkusen last season.
🏆 Turkey v Portugal
📅
Kick Off: Saturday 22nd June at 17:00
🩹 Arda Guler to be fouled 1+ times
📈
Odds: 1.22
Arda Guler looks a shrewd bet to be fouled against Portugal and he could be crucial in relieving pressure for Turkey.
The 19-year-old was fouled 0.67 times per 90 in qualifying and once against Georgia. Having said that, in matchday one he attempted four dribbles in the 79 minutes he was on the pitch, being tackled three times and completing one successfully.
Guler may face duels against Nuno Mendes, who fouled twice in Portugal’s opener against Czech Republic and averaged 2 fouls per 90 in qualifying, and Joao Cancelo, who fouled 1.44 times per 90 for Barcelona in La Liga this season.
🛑 Rafael Leao to commit 1+ fouls
📈
Odds: 1.29
During qualifying Leao committed 1.4 fouls per 90 across his seven appearances for Portugal.
The winger also has a decent foul record for AC Milan where he averaged 0.96 fouls committed per 90.
He committed one foul and was also booked in Portugal’s opener against the Czechs.
🏆 Belgium v Romania
📅
Kick Off: Saturday 22nd June at 20:00
🛑 Timothy Castagne to commit 1+ fouls
📈
Odds: 1.91
If Jeremy Doku drifts over to the left more, as he did eventually against Slovakia, it would create space for Castagne to fly forward down the right.
The Fulham man committed 0.50 fouls per 90 in qualifying, 0.75 per 90 in the Premier League this season and could line up against Florinel Coman, who won 1.71 fouls per 90 for Romania in qualifying.
At 1.91, Castagne is an appealing bet for a foul in this match with so much on the line for the Belgians.
🛑 Nicolae Stanciu to commit 1+ fouls
📈
Odds: 1.50
Stanciu committed 1.1 fouls per 90 for Romania during qualifying and 0.86 fouls per 90 for his club side last season.
Romania only had 29% of the ball against Ukraine and we can expect similar here, with Belgium likely to dominate the ball.
This will lead to Romania having to do a lot of running and defending, which should see their foul count rise above the average of the 10.6 fouls per 90 they committed during qualifying.
