📂 Everton v Nottingham Forest Cheat Sheet
📈 Everton v Nottingham Forest Form & Stats
With a 1-0 win against Wolves in midweek, Forest secured their fourth victory in their last five games, underlining a positive run of form. While it wasn’t the most convincing win against the struggling Wolves, Sean Dyche will nevertheless be pleased with the three points, creating some daylight between his side and the relegation zone.
The new Forest manager has steadied the Forest ship in recent weeks, with a record of five wins, two draws and two losses across all competitions. The Trickey Trees have even kept five clean sheets in that time, highlighting real improvements at the back.
Everton had an afternoon to forget last weekend, as they were comprehensively beaten by a clinical Newcastle side. The Magpies took a 4-0 lead before the hour mark as Malick Thiaw scored twice from corner scenarios, usually an area where Everton are so strong. However, the Toffees bounced back strongly on Tuesday night, as they held on to a 1-0 victory against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.
Everton have been a bit inconsistent this season, but they come into this game having won three of their last four Premier League matches, with a notable win against Man United at Old Trafford, despite being reduced to 10 men early on.
📔 Everton v Nottingham Forest Formation & Team News
Idrissa Gueye will serve the final game of his suspension here, having been sent off for violent conduct on his teammate Michael Keane in that game.
Thierno Barry seems to have established himself as the number one option up front, as the Frenchman has started each of the last five games for Everton, but he has failed to make a notable impact, and is still yet to score his first goal in an Everton shirt.
Forest had to contend without Murillo at the back midweek, as the Brazilian deals with an illness and a hamstring injury, so he is unlikely to feature on Saturday afternoon. On a more positive note, Morgan Gibbs-White shook off any injury concerns to feature against his former club, while Igor Jesus scored his first Premier League goal against Wolves midweek.
With Chris Wood and Taiwo Awoniyi injured, Jesus has had a big role for Forest in the last few weeks, but really has stepped up to the plate.
