Specialist in Scandinavian & European soccer. I have been in the betting game for nearly 20 years now with a summer focus on the Norwegian & Swedish leagues. With an in-depth knowledge of the region & teams I have been involved in a specialist podcast & more for close to a decade. My favourite types of bets are attacking the goal lines and identifying the tactics & style of each team & manager who can contribute positively. Outside of betting I was once a Sunday League goalkeeper myself. But my boots are now retired and instead prefer to hit up the cricket pitch and golf course in my spare time.

⚪ Fredrikstad Lacking Recent Wins
Fredrikstad are in 8th position but recently have struggled for form, failing to win any of their last six games. They’ve suffered four defeats in this period and conceded 12 goals. That is unlike them because this is a team which has been known for its strong defensive resilience in the last 18 months. They have the 4th-best home record of any team in the Eliteserien and won four out of seven times. They are usually well supported by their passionate home fans.
Fredrikstad have an average xG per game of just 1.27, which is the 4th-worst of any team. They’ve only scored 15 goals in 13 games. Squad-wise wise they appear in good condition with only defender Fallou Fall doubtful with injury.
🔵 Molde Continue to Underachieve
Molde’s miserable season continued last weekend when they lost 1-0 away to Tromso, conceding quite a late goal. They were reduced to 10 men for the entire 2nd half as attacker Caleb Zady got sent off. However, getting outshot 15 to 2 and losing the xG battle 1.06 to 0.11 is unacceptable. They offered nothing going forward, and it was a timid display.
Molde manager Per-Mathias Hogmo is under significant pressure, and Molde might soon be facing a situation of whether to back him or sack him. They are down in 12th position, although they have performed better away from home, where they possess the 5th best road record. Molde ranks in the top half for average xG per game (1.46) and in the top 6 for xGA (1.36). They are underachieving compared to their metrics, so perhaps they can improve as the season progresses.
