Fredrikstad have been lacking wins of late, but seem to have the ideal opponent to get back on track against here. Stromsgodset have lost nine games in a row, which is why they are as big as 4.75 to win this match. Fredrikstad are the clear 1.60 favourites, and they can fire a couple of goals past a poor Stromsgodset outfit.

🔴 Fredrikstad Still Struggling For Wins

The good news for Fredrikstad is that they rescued a late point away to Ham-Kam last week (1-1), but their form has been very scrappy with just one win in nine games. They are in a comfortable mid-table spot on 22 points, but trending in the wrong direction. For a team well known for its organisation and discipline, no clean sheet in that aforementioned nine game period must be a concern.

Fredrikstad have the fifth worst xG per game in the Eliteserien (1.34) and an obvious weak spot is a general lack of goals - striker Emil Holten has only scored three goals in the league. However, they have an opportunity to improve these metrics here, against a poor Stromsgodset. With the exception of defender Fallou Fall who is injured, the home squad should be in peak physical condition, and can back up last weeks positive result.

🔵 Stromsgodset Misery Continues With Barren Losing Run

The away side are in terrible form, having lost nine consecutive matches in the Eliteserien. Things got even worse last week when they got hammered 1-4 away to a struggling Molde side. New manager Dag Eilev Fagermo has been in charge of four games and the only real positive is that they have at least scored some goals in recent defeats. 

From a metrics perspective, things have also been bleak for Stromsgodset. They’ve got the 3rd worst average xGA per game (1.88) and they average only 1.35 xG in each contest. Their 17 goals scored is the third fewest and the 33 conceded the second most.
