Levadia v Talinna Kalev
🏟
Friday 1st July – 4:00PM KO
Levadia come into this game following a largely disappointing 1-1 draw with Kuressaare. A match in which they should have won comfortably despite playing the final 15 minutes of the game with 10 men. The result left Levadia in 2nd place in the Meistriliiga and falling behind league leaders Flora Tallinn, who also have a game in hand. The game against Kalev has come in a much-needed period when Levadia will be looking for some confidence following 2 disappointing results. Reports in Estonia are also suggesting that head coach Marko Savic could be close to losing his job.
Kalev come into this game after a disappointing 3-0 defeat to Nomme Kalju. A game in which Kalev couldn’t find the rhythm of the game, and were outplayed for the whole 90 minutes of action. If it wasn’t for the heroics of Stiven Raider in goal, the score line could have easily been 6 or 7. This is the 2nd game of 3 horrible fixtures for Kalev, who will be happy to see the back of them and hopefully pick up some points to move away from the bottom 2, however, this is extremely unlikely.
The last time these 2 teams played ended in a 1-0 victory for Levadia, thanks to dodgy penalty late in the game. Levadia dominated that match both in possession and shots on goal, and more of the same is expected here. Levadia will be without the league’s leading clean sheet holder, Karl Vallner who was sent off against Kure, so veteran 40-year-old Kotenko will be between the sticks. Centre back Mitrovic is also banned following his yellow card, although there is adequate cover at centre back. Kalev will be thankful to be at full strength.
Levadia will win this game and they should win it comfortably, with history pointing towards a thumping. Levadia have scored the 2nd most goal this season and are coming up against one of the worst defences in the league.

Narva Trans v Paide
🏟
Saturday 2nd July – 3:00PM KO
Narva are edging ever closer to the relegation zone being winless in their last 10 games, collecting only 1 point in that span against Tallinna Kalev.
Paide’s form is now improving with 10 points from 15 and now have a platform to chase down the top 3.
The difference with Narva’s form and Paide’s form is that it’s impossible to see where Narva’s next win comes from. Paide have been inconsistent but generally speaking, they do beat the teams down the bottom end of the table.
Narva lost 1-0 to Tammeka on Wednesday in a game in which they were the better side, so it’s showing that the confidence right now isn’t there, and not having an out-and-out goal scorer is starting to show. Centre back Denis Dedechko is the top scorer with 5.
Paide just beat youthful Legion 1-2 on Wednesday and were actually 1-0 down at halftime whilst also being down to 10 men from the 37th minute. It shows Paide’s attacking capabilities but also shows vulnerability in defence with just 1 clean sheet in those 5 games.
Paide for this game may have one eye on their European fixture against Dinamo Tbilisi, and may even rotate slightly, Kaimar Saag will be missing after his red card, but other than that they are full strength and even a 2ndPaide team could beat this current Narva team.
Narva have a new centre back but it’s unsure if he will be available for this game, otherwise, it will be a very makeshift back line.
4 out of the last 5 these two have played each other has O2.5 goals and ended in a Paide victory, Narva are too weak in defence right now, and with Paide having an abundance of attacking options, they can perhaps afford to rest even the key players for this one and still be okay.

Parnu JK v Tammeka
🏟
Saturday 2nd July – 6:00PM KO
Tammeka actually won a game on Wednesday against Narva which was long overdue, their last win coming against today’s opponents in Parnu, hopefully, now there should be some confidence down in Tartu, as they have some breathing room from the rest of the relegation threatened teams.
Parnu being one of those threatened teams are really struggling, they just took a 6-1 battering against Flora and can’t even get any points from those around them in the league. A change of goalkeeper hasn’t helped, and neither has a small squad that are starting to look tired already.
Both sides have lost 4 out of their last 5 games, with Tammeka winning 1 and Parnu drawing 1.
Parnu are starting to fall away from the rest, currently sitting in last place, 3 points behind 9th, top goal scorer Kevin Kauber has been missing, it’s unsure if he is injured or just not selected, this is a real worry for where the goals are going to come from, it’s looking bleak down in the summer capital.
Tammeka after their win vs Narva will look to build on this, Miguel Santos the head coach has them playing good stuff at times but sometimes the talent isn’t quite there for the end product.
Tammeka have beaten Parnu both times this season 2-1 and 3-1 and have won 5 out of the 7 they’ve played against them in their respective histories, with 6 of the 7 O2.5 goals.
Parnu will struggle especially without Kauber, although a big crowd is expected at the Parnu stadium, Tammeka will maybe have just a bit more quality about them.
