Tottenham have won 68 corners in the Premier League this season (5.66 per game), with only four sides in the top flight winning more so far this campaign.

Tottenham have had to rely on corners and set pieces under Thomas Frank, with Spurs consistently having issues when it comes to creating chances from open play. They’ve won 5+ corners in eight of their 12 Premier League matches this term, including covering this tally in all but one of their home matches (v Bournemouth).

Fulham are conceding 4.50 corners per game on the road this season, so we need a marginal increase in the numbers of corners they concede. However, this is a must win game for Thomas Frank, and Fulham sitting in their mid block should invite Tottenham to attack the Cottagers and rack up a few corners.

Vicario has had to bail Tottenham out more than Thomas Frank would have liked this season, with the Italian keeper being forced into making 38 saves across his 12 appearances between the sticks (3.17 per game).

Vicario has managed to maintain an impressive save percentage of 73.1% across these games, which is a standout due to the volume of saves Vicario is having to make for Tottenham. This suggests that Vicario is an excellent shot stopper and deals well with the flurry of chances that Tottenham can concede.

Fulham have drawn 2+ saves from the opposition goalkeeper in each of their last four matches in the Premier League, with the Cottagers forcing 2+ saves in eight of their 12 games overall this campaign. Fulham can pose Tottenham a threat in transition, knowing that the Lilywhites have been well below the level required in their home matches this season.

Kolo Muani netted his first few goals for Tottenham against his former side, PSG, last time out, marking the first goals he has scored for the Lilywhites since joining in the summer. 

He hasn’t really had that many opportunities in the Premier League, though I think his brace in the Champions League will give him the springboard to properly kick off his Tottenham career.

Muani came to Tottenham highly rated after a successful spell at Juventus, in which he scored eight goals across 13 starts and averaged 1.08 shots on target per 90. What is particularly notable about Muani’s time at Juventus is how often his shots would find the target; over 50% of his total efforts in Serie A last season were on target.

Strikers tend to play in patches of form, and this could be the start of one for Muani, with this game being a perfect opportunity for the French striker to add to his goals in the Champions League. Fulham have lost five of their six matches away from Craven Cottage this season, conceding 13 goals in the process. 

Fulham have been really poor on the road so far this season, and their frustration is starting to show in their disciplinary record. The Cottagers rank second in the Premier League for fouls committed per game (13.3) and have collected 24 yellow cards across their 12 matches (2.0 per game).

Fulham have picked up 2+ cards in seven of their 12 matches in the Premier League this season. They’ve seen 2+ cards in four of their five away matches, highlighting how their poor performances on the road are directly contributing to healthy card counts. This is also a London derby, so we can expect an extra layer of animosity between the two sides, which can contribute to Fulham’s overall card count.

I’d keep a keen eye on where Iwobi lines up here. The introduction of Kevin on the left-hand side has prompted Marco Silva to drop Iwobi slightly deeper, with the 29-year-old lining up alongside Sander Berge last time out.

He may switch Iwobi back over to the wing depending on the preferred tactical setup, but this is a good angle to take should he start in the middle of the park. Iwobi didn’t commit a foul against Sunderland last time out, but he did make three tackles, which is notable as he is only averaging 1.18 tackles per 90 this season. I’d expect his other defensive metrics to continue to rise should he continue in this role.

He’s likely to face up against Xavi Simons, who has won a foul in each of his last five appearances for Tottenham in the Premier League. Simons is averaging 1.70 fouls won per 90 across his nine appearances in the Premier League this term.

Joao Palhinha started off his Tottenham career in quite a measured manner, but has since returned to the hothead many became familiar with during his time at Fulham. He’s one of the best players in the Premier League when it comes to pinching the ball back, but his aggression can be to his detriment.

Palhinha has picked up three yellow cards across his 12 appearances in the Premier League this season, with the latest being picked up against Manchester United just before the international break.

There is the added element of Palhinha facing up against his former side here, which could result in an extra show of aggression from the 30-year-old who has been one of Tottenham’s best performers this season.

Palhinha is likely to face up against Josh King here, who has been a breakout star for Fulham so far this campaign. He is a lot more agile than Palhinha, so he may be able to leave the former Fulham midfielder behind at times with his deft movement.

Kevin still has some way in his development to go before becoming a reliable Premier League winger, but his early performances have offered promise - particularly when it comes to winning fouls and taking on his fullback.

Kevin has won 10 fouls across just three starts in the Premier League this season (2.37 per 90) and often requires two players to contain his threat. He may be up against two opponents here if Tottenham do go with a back three, but that may be seen as overtly negative by the Tottenham faithful, who are desperate to see a commanding performance at home.

Kevin is also averaging 4.74 successful dribbles per 90; it’s a small sample size, but these numbers are equivalent to the likes of Doku, offering real promise when looking to back Kevin to win a few fouls here. He’s likely to be up against Pedro Porro, who has committed 12 fouls in the Premier League this term (1.23 fouls per 90).
