Seven-time winner and Group Three scorer, NOBLE DYNASTY, faces the toughest race of his career but isn’t fully exposed. The Godolphin-owned Dubawi gelding is a straightforward ride and relishes quick ground. He has a victory over impressive Royal Ascot winner, English Oak, at the Guineas meeting in May and is actually far better off at the weights with that rival this time around.

Main danger, Kinross, comes alive at this meeting – with two victories from three attempts in this race – offers huge claims if anything like his bet. He should get a solid pace to aim at to push our selection close.

KYPRIOS is the class act in the G1 Goodwood Cup Stakes – aiming to win the race for the second time – following a sensational win ahead of Stradivarius in 2022. The Aidan O’Brien-trained superstar comes into the race in exceptional form, having won all three starts this term, including a game display in the G1 Ascot Gold Cup at the Royal Meeting last month.

He was ahead of Sweet William, Coltrane and Gregory that day and should be able to confirm form, under master tactician Ryan Moore, who will be alive to any potential threat rounding for home.

DUAL IDENTITY arguably arrives in the form of his life, despite finishing ninth of 20 in a valuable York handicap last-time-out. That form figure doesn’t represent the true tale of the race – having been denied a clear passage 2f from home after travelling powerfully from off the pace. That effort needs marking up, with the potential of further improvement from the same handicap mark of 97 here and a jockey upgrade, as Callum Shepherd takes over from a 5lb apprentice.

The selection has also shown his best results at this trip – four of his five successes have come over the 1m2f journey. He could cause a minor upset from an each-way perspective at attractive double-figure odds.

FAIR WIND rates one of the more obvious contenders in this competitive sprint handicap at the West Sussex venue. The grey Tasleet gelding landed his fourth career win with a personal best in this class at Ascot, travelling strongly throughout, before finding for pressure when it counted.

He is hugely progressive and could defy a 4lb rise in the weights. Trainer Owen Burrows noted that his charge is definitely learning his trade in the top sprints and felt that there was still some untapped potential, with the six-year-old going the right way.

Course specialist Lord Riddiford is a huge rival, if showing anything like his best at his favourite track, especially as now a well-handicapped individual (2lb below his previous winning mark).

CIRCE was a winning selection in this column recently at Newbury, scoring with plenty in hand at the finish line. She hadn’t had the best of luck in her previous two handicap efforts, prior to this improved form. Given a positive ride, the daughter of Kodiac showed her true potential and shouldn’t be underestimated after a 4lb rise in the weights, with the promise of more progress to come on just her third run over a mile.

She has a good, low draw to work from here and should be capable of sitting handily from the offset.

Our first selection in our Goodwood Lucky 15 comes in the 13:50, where we have TONY MONTANA who is producing his best runs this year.

Landing a 1m2f victory last year in a novice stakes race at Newbury, he opened his account in fine fashion when beating Cracksking by 2 ½ lengths, who has since gone on to win two races. Kicking on from this victory, Tony Montana is in the best form of his career this season. Scoring on his return after a six-month break, the gelding won a competitive handicap at Chester before landing the double, adding another 1m2f victory to his name at Windsor.

Although he put in a below-par performance in the Duke of Edinburgh, he rectified this last time out when finishing third in the John Smith’s Cup at 28/1 behind today’s rival Enfijaar. Holds solid each-way claims given his results this season.

Next up we have NAVELLO, who has a history of landing wins and places at big prices.

A consistent five-year-old who has put in some solid performances this year after a successful campaign last year. Landing a 5f handicap at Thirsk last year at 7/1 before following up with a win at Epsom at 25/1, he has kicked on further this year and seems to have found another level. Returning to Wolverhampton after a three-month break, he landed a competitive handicap at 22/1 and has since recorded results of 2,5,1,3,4.

Consistent performances with four of his six starts coming at double-figure prices, including a win at Windsor at 12/1, he’s a reliable sort in these realms and looks set to go well once again.

Our next selection is QUEENS REIGN, who has shown solid form since being sent handicapping.

A three-year-old filly who has produced some impressive races in her short six-race career, including a course and distance victory already here this year. With four places up for grabs in this race, Queen’s Reign has only failed to finish inside the top four on one occasion, and her performances are heading in the right direction of late.

A filly who likes to race prominently in her races, she was up with the pace when scoring here in May and led last time out at Newmarket when finishing third to today’s rival Mercury Day. Although she has a tendency to race a bit keenly, if Saffie Osborne can keep her in check early doors, the field will have a tough time reeling her in.

Last but not least, we have STAR OF LADY M, who has been in red hot form of late.

A well-raced four-year-old filly who is coming off the back of an impressive victory at Newmarket last time out at 16/1. Showing great consistency this year, Star Of Lady M has raced 13 times and has made the placings in eight of those appearances, picking up four wins along the way.

Scoring twice on turf and twice on all weather, she handles a variety of ground and looks set to continue her solid run of form this year. Improving race on race at the moment, with her last three results being 3,2,1 she holds bold claims for landing the double here today at an appealing price.
